Elizabeth Warren, Democratic Senator, former lawyer and consumer protection advocate is being talked of as a potential VP for Hillary Clinton. She’d bring a much needed anti-Wall Street slant.

Born  22 June 1949, Oak Hill, OK, with a possible rectified time of 1.51pm, she’s an innovative Sun Uranus in Cancer in a sensible sextile to hard-working, meticulous Saturn in Virgo; with Jupiter trine Mars (Mercury) in Gemini. The Cancer Sun will tune her into the public mood and she’ll be a good communicator.

In addition she’s got a Yod of Saturn sextile Sun Uranus inconjunct Jupiter which has the potential to make her a force for good out in society. And the Solar Arc positions of that Yod put her Sun Uranus on HC’s MC (8.01am BT). So it might just be – stretching a point – that Hillary gives her the opportunity and platform that she needs to get her ideas across.

Her Saturn is also conjunct Hillary’s MC which will give gravitas and an element of practicality and common sense. EW’s Jupiter is square H’s Scorpio Sun which will be morale-boosting.  But it’s a very intense, slightly unsettling relationship with EW’s Sun Uranus in H’s 8^th; and EW’s Taurus Moon square H’s Mars Pluto Saturn in Leo, so wouldn’t make EW feel that comfortable especially where HC’s 8^th house issues are concerned – business finances etc.

The relationship chart does have an adventurous Jupiter opposition Uranus so at one level it might appeal. But there’s an exact composite Mars square Neptune which suggests an ego-mismatch, so when one succeeds the other feels diminished. Though having said that candidates don’t necessarily have to get on with their running mates since they are picked for reasons other than compatibility.

Just to be tricky on election day Elizabeth Warren has two contradictory influences.  One is tr Neptune square her Mars which is a definite lose-lose, panicky indicator.  The other is a ‘lucky break’ tr Pluto square Jupiter/Uranus which has been seen over election wins.

Other favourable influences: – If the rectified birth time is sound, then her Solar Arc Moon is just into her 10^th and her Solar Arc Pluto is sitting on her Ascendant, both of which suggest prominence and influence. Plus tr Jupiter will be crossing her Ascendant just before the Inauguration which is also a confidence plus point.

So there are some encouraging signs but I’d still have  considerable worries about that tr Neptune square Mars.

The run-up to every Olympics is plagued by panics over terrorism, unfinished stadiums, and inadequacies of the local hosts. Now health specialists have said the zika virus will make the Rio Olympics unsafe since the half million visitors could spread it globally when they return home. They want it moved or cancelled but that seems unlikely to happen.

The Opening Ceremony is scheduled for 8pm on 5^th August in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, which gives a strained 6^th house Leo Sun on the focal point of a Yod to Neptune opposition Pluto, and the Sun exactly on the opposition to the Neptune/Pluto midpoint. Ebertin says of Sun=Neptune/Pluto, amongst other attributes: ‘peculiar diseases’.  But even without the prospect of an as-yet incurable virus, it will induce paranoia and confusion. There’s also the high-anxious, uncertain T square of Neptune opposition Mercury (Venus North Node) square an accident-prone and bad-tempered Saturn Mars in Sagittarius.

On the upside there’s a welcoming 7^th house Moon Jupiter in Virgo in a confident trine to Pluto so the hosts will put on a good display as might be expected from the carnival capital of the world.

Actor Johnny Depp (Pirates of the Caribbean, Edward Scissorhands etc) is being sued by his wife of fifteen months, actress Amber Heard, for divorce.

It was always an odd match with Depp on the rebound from Vanessa Paradis; and Heard, so attached to her pet dogs she smuggled them into Australia. Plus his career is not flourishing with five commercial flops in a row.

He was born  9 June 1963 8.44am Owensboro, KY; and she 22 April 1986 Austin, TX. He’s a Gemini Sun with a Capricorn Moon and she’s a Taurus Sun with a Libra Moon – at that level it’s OK. But Her Mars is conjunct his Moon; her Uranus opposes his Sun and her Saturn is square his Pluto Mars Uranus – so an irritable, high-tension mix.

Their relationship chart does have an affectionate composite Sun Venus opposition Moon which is lovely; but also a chained-together-and-resenting-it Saturn square Pluto; and an argumentative Mercury opposition Mars.

They were married on 3 Feb 2015 in LA at the time of the Full Moon in Leo conjunct Jupiter opposition Sun, so on a wave of enthusiasm, but perhaps not entirely on the same wavelength. With an ethereal, illusionary/ delusionary Venus Neptune square Saturn.

He’s just lost his mother so the timing seems unfortunate. He’s got his Solar Arc Saturn square his Moon and conjunct his Jupiter – so in mourning and deflated. It’s all the more of a game-changer since his Jupiter is on the focal point of a Yod to Pluto sextile Neptune and will pull on all three planets – confused and uncertain vis a vis domestic/family issues and discouraged about money, his Pluto being 2^nd house. There was no pre-nup and she’s evidently claiming spousal upkeep or somesuch. After 15 months?  Whatever happened to feminist integrity?

He does have Saturn in his 7^th so close relationships will always involve effort for him.

Addendum: There are accusations of assault and denials flying around with a temporary restraining order against Depp to keep him away from his about-to-be-ex-wife. But the judge ruled against her claim for spousal financial support and to have her legal fees paid.

She’s a Sun Taurus opposition Pluto, trine Mars Neptune in Capricorn; with Mercury in Aries square Mars Neptune. He’s got a Mars Pluto Uranus conjunction in Virgo with Pluto trine Moon. So both have anger and control issues. Her Sun is conjunct his MC and her Pluto is in his 4^th – so she’d be attracted to his status but find that tensions and power struggles in his domestic life, partially stoked by her, would cause problems.

He looks jammed up this year with tr Saturn square his Pluto in August and tr Neptune opposition his Pluto from Oct to Jan 2017 – so pulling down his influence. Plus the September Solar Eclipse will be conjunct his 2^nd house Pluto so the financial ramifications may grate. But he’s got a bullish tr Pluto trine Sun/Jupiter to bounce him up this June and on and off till late 2017.

He does have tr Neptune moving into his 8^th now and tr Pluto in his 6^th – so health and his grasp on reality and practicalities may prove to be a problem ahead.

There’s no birth time for her, but if anything, she looks more downcast in the years ahead with a discouraging tr Saturn square her Jupiter exact at the moment and again in Oct; and bubble-bursting, financially disappointing tr Neptune conjunct her Jupiter from mid 2017. Losses also in 2017 from tr Uranus square her Jupiter/Saturn; and really stuck, aggravating Solar Arcs in the three years following.

The French government, as expected, is beginning to row back on their much-needed labour reforms in the face of the usual, aggressive worker solidarity out on the streets. There is serious disruption with strikes and blockades at oil refineries, nuclear power stations, ports and transport hubs. And only two weeks to the Euro 2016 football championships to be played in venues all over France.  That was already creating security headaches but no petrol or trains? Quelle horreur.

Tr Saturn is also conjunct his MC in July with tr Neptune square, on and off till early 2017 – so all bad news on the career ambition front.

His Term in office started on 31 March 2014 with a pro-active Jupiter opposition Pluto square Sun Uranus in Aries – so bullishly confident with a drive to put new measures in place.  The Jupiter has moved by Solar Arc to oppose Pluto exactly now so his optimism was clearly misplaced.

Francois Hollande’s Government chart, 15 May 2012 10.45am Paris always did look to be facing a stressful time throughout with a strained Yod of Pisces Moon sextile Sun Jupiter in Taurus inconjunct Saturn in Libra. The focal point Saturn is being hit amidships come late June by tr Uranus in opposition so yet more tensions will erupt.

Much the same is reflected on his natal chart, 12 Aug 1954 12.10am Rouen, France, with an emotionally intense, and again over-confident, tr Pluto conjunct his 8^th house Moon and trine his Solar Arc Jupiter; with high anxiety in the final days of this month and through June; with more upsets late June through July.

He has two major configurations in his chart – one a Cardinal T Square of Moon opposition Jupiter Uranus square Neptune; and a mini-Grand Trine of Mars trine Pluto (Sun) in Leo, sextile Neptune. His Neptune is being hammered around now for the next few weeks, upsetting both configurations; and then tr Uranus squares his Uranus. He was already the most unpopular President ever and this was his last hope Cabinet. It isn’t that the labour reforms are anything but long overdue but he hasn’t the grit to face down a lengthy grid-lock.

Paul Ryan, House Speaker and the Republican party’s highest-ranking elected official, has denied reports from the Trump camp that he is ready to endorse The Donald. He may, force majeure, have no option as the nomination seems all but settled, but they do not make a pair of happy campers.

Ryan, 29 January 1970 2.37am Janesville, WI, has a controlling 10^th house Pluto which is squared by Trump’s Gemini Sun and Sagittarius Moon, so not surprisingly Ryan feels he’s losing his grip on events. Trump’s Saturn in Cancer squares Ryan’s Libra Moon so chilly; Trump’s Pluto is trine Ryan’s Mars which is hostile; Trump’s Mars in Leo is trine Ryan’s Moon – edgy and irritable. Trump’s Neptune falls in Ryan’s 10th conjunct his Uranus which will provoke a highly-strung response from Ryan of suspicion and untrustworthiness.

The relationship chart has an emphasised and very aggravated composite Saturn Mars conjunction on the focal point of a mini-Grand Trine to Uranus trine composite Sun – outright dislike and not a good working combination. That Mars Saturn is under very afflicted Neptune transits in 2017/18; and indeed by Saturn transits in opposition this year.

China is almost through its most difficult recent period as the tr Uranus square tr Pluto moved in hard aspect to the 8^th house Libra Sun, Mercury, Neptune and Uranus in Cancer from 2010 with a final muddled tr Pluto square Neptune briefly this September to mid October. All of that would be restrictive financially and economically; with Solar Arc Saturn conjunct the economic Venus earlier this year.

There’ll be some lucky breaks bringing good results and renewed enthusiasm with tr Uranus square Jupiter, up till March 2017. Perhaps some over-confident misjudgements also in 2017 from Solar Arc Mars square Jupiter, exact mid 2017.

Tr Neptune is now into the 2^nd house of personal finances (ie. household finances) for two decades ahead which is not always helpful from a stability and security point of view; especially in 2017, into 2018 when tr Neptune opposes the 8^th house Saturn.

Then they have the hugely confident and usually financially successful tr Pluto conjunct their Jupiter in 2019/2020. Admittedly tr Saturn will be in there as well, so it’ll be great in certain respects and very tight in others. But tr Jupiter moving into Capricorn for a Jupiter Return immediately after will bring them definitely on the right side up of the balance sheet.

The population may be restive around 2019 with tr Uranus square the Moon and since tr Pluto is moving through the China 12^th, from 2011 to 2026 which can often indicate secret groups plotting against the status quo.

2021/2022 sees tr Uranus square the 7^th house Mars Pluto in Leo so there will likely be hostile and aggressive interchanges with neighbouring countries.

Significant, radical shifts will come after the mid 2020s with tr Uranus moving into the China 4^th from 2026 and tr Pluto moving cross the Aquarius Ascendant in 2027. More domestic unrest will meet initially with more heavy handed control. But there will be the hope with Pluto moving through the 1^st of a different kind of China, less inward-looking and with more understanding of how it fits into the global scene.

Around 2030, tr Neptune starts several years of opposing the 8^th house Libra planets which will bring back a lacklustre economic performance. So ups and downs but pulling out of the trough at the moment and moving forward on a positive if winding path.

Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s daughters Beatrice and Eugenie are seen regularly at Royal events beside grandma, at charity and fashion events, and especially Beatrice, on frequent holidays. They are both registered as being in full time employment – Eugenie with an art dealer and Beatrice with a New York investment firm. But they clearly don’t work as most of the rest of us understand it. Maybe they just have more understanding bosses. Both appear to have long term boyfriends but with no wedding plans yet in view.

Beatrice, 8 Aug 1988 8.18pm London, has a 7^th house Leo Sun Mercury square a 9^th house Pluto and trine Mars in Aries. Her Mars in Aries in the 2^nd is square a 5^th house Venus Moon in Cancer opposition Neptune in Capricorn.  She’s quite a mix of dependent and submissive as well as feisty with that focal point Cardinal Mars making her impulsive especially where money is concerned, though one suspects more spending than earning it.

A 5^th house Moon should make her fond of children and fertile – unless the childhood family get in the way which with a Neptune opposition and Mars square might well be the case.  I’ve always thought a 5^th house Moon took their nurturing from children though it could also be from parties and pleasure. Eugenie and indeed Sarah Ferguson all have 5^th house Moons, so there could be a sense of the children being the nurturers of mother. Which thought is also supported by a Moon opposition Neptune.

Beatrice does have tr Saturn moving through her upper quadrant for several years which could suggest heavier responsibilities at work, though sometimes individuals duck out of their Saturnine obligations until the first Saturn Return which in her case happens in 2017. There’s not much indication of a glorious romantic wedding anytime soon. Perhaps when her Progressed Moon moves across her Descendant in two plus years time.

Eugenie, 23 March 1990 6.58pm London, has a hard-working 6^th house Aries Sun Mercury; with a 5^th house Aquarius Moon Venus square Pluto in the 2^nd.  Moon Venus can be tricky since it suggests the relationship with mother is a seductive one which doesn’t allow the child to be a child. She’s also got a tricky 4^th house with Neptune Saturn in Capricorn and Mars in Aquarius. Since she was the younger, she presumably arrived when the marriage was in difficulties with more strain at home.

She’ll be fairly compulsive about money, spending it and wanting control, partly a legacy from her irresponsible mother. Again there’s nothing much to suggest a wedding soon.  Indeed she’s coping with strained family issues for several years ahead which may divert her attention from herself. With tr Uranus moving through her 7^th now she’ll want more freedom, not less, for several years ahead.

Really they’d both need to cut the ties that bind them to their parents but in their position that’s not possible. Maybe they’ll get their acts together in their 30s, or more likely in Beatrice’s case with a Sun square Pluto in her forties.

Both have Mars Pluto aspects which will give them a degree of frustration about not being able to plough their own furrow.

Jason Day is an Australian pro golfer, presently ranked as No 1. He was born 12 Nov 1987 2pm Beaudesert, Australia and has been golfing since he was a young child. He’s got a very intense chart with Sun Pluto Mercury spread out through Scorpio, all in his 8^th.  But he’s also got a surfeit of Fire from Jupiter in Aries, a Leo Moon and Uranus Saturn Venus in Sagittarius, so he’ll be energised by that. His 2^nd house Jupiter is in an adventurous opposition to Mars and trine Uranus MC Saturn so he’ll be lucky in attracting money and was clearly destined for a different kind of career. His Moon in flamboyant Leo is in the performing 5^th – so he’s a curious mix of showy and very private.

He’s got a mixed year with exuberant patches and some muddled downers; is getting a grip of his destiny with tr Pluto sextile his Sun in 2017/18; and with tr Saturn in his upper quadrant until the mid 2020s there’s a lot of mileage ahead for him. Late 2017/`18 could be sticky when his Solar Arc Sun is conjunct his Saturn though that may just stiffen his resolve to work even harder.

Rafael Nadal is a Spanish pro tennis player currently ranked No 5 with an impressive array of Grand Slam wins behind him.

Born 3 June 1986 6.20pm Manacor, Spain, he has tr Saturn now well into his lower profile first quadrant when it becomes more difficult to summon up the energy to train/play with the kind of drive he had in former years.

He’s having an up and down year with tr Neptune undermining some of his Mars and Sun midpoints as well as his Gemini Sun; and an uncertain Solar Arc Saturn conjunct his Neptune exact in 6 months. But tr Pluto is trine his Solar Arc MC all year so he’ll get some lift from that. He’ll be bullish through 2017; but 2018 is when he hits some really major roadblocks with Solar Arc Pluto conjunct his Saturn and an accident prone Solar Arc Uranus conjunct his Mars.

He’s been plagued with injuries in recent years and it is tough at the top, when even the fittest bodies start to object to years of punishment.
