Jeremy Hunt – his odds improving

Jeremy Hunt’s rank-outsider status in the Tory leadership fight has jumped to a more hopeful possible with news of Boris Johnson’s plate-smashing fight with his girl-friend. There was always a risk that Boris would put his foot in it given his erratic, reckless and overly excitable tendencies.

Hunt, 1 November 1966, is a steadier Sun Venus in Scorpio square Jupiter in Leo and where before his nickname of ‘continuity May’ was deemed damaging, it may seem less of a handicap that he’s less volatile. Though he will have his moments with tumultuous and scattered Mars, Pluto and Uranus in Virgo square a Gemini Moon.

He looks strung-out till early July with tr Pluto conjunct his Saturn/Neptune midpoint. Then from July 10th he picks up tr Pluto trine his Sun/Jupiter midpoint (unless a very early morning birth). This is mildly successful and Boris looks logjammed from the same time. Though Hunt is also feeling inferior, weak-willed thereafter and in a definite panic from mid August onwards till early 2020.

The problem with predicting this election, apart the usual ones and no birth time, is that while egos may yearn for No 10, common sense indicates that this is the worst of times, coming as it does with the chalice of hemlock that is Brexit.

  1. The new leader will be announced on July 23rd (Bluebell). Another 3 weeks wasted when we’re due to leave the EU on the 31st October! Tory politicians voting for the next UK leader followed by 150,000 Tory members. What happened to the millions of non-Tory mugs living in Scotland, England, NIreland and Wales?

The last leader, May, was unelected by the British people, the leader before her, Cameron, got around 37% of the UK vote and now this. Amazing how so many people can be duped into believing that they live in a democracy.

    • Shirley, Give it a break. We all know your views. If you have something to say astrologically I’m sure we’d be pleased to hear it.

  2. New dates: The new leader will be announced on July 23, with a view to taking over as PM on July 24 (unless someone pulls out earlier).

    • Depressing and scary. They do still exist as if they were in a University debating society. Not one of them is hands-on practical and competent with the nitty gritty of the real world

    • Thanks. It’s terrifying when you get down to looking at the minutiae of his life. Another piece (behind a paywall) from yesterday’s Sunday Times, so have filleted out bits.
“Boris Johnson can change from bonhomie to a dark fury in seconds. His normally joky demeanour flashes into a sarcastic snarl, his skin reddens and blotches, his eyes dart into an intense narrow glare and on the worst occasions his lips curl back to reveal wisps of spittle.
This quality, combined with his casual relationship with the truth and often callous disregard of others, has caused many people who have worked closely with him to question his fitness for office. He bears grudges, resents being beholden to others and has sneaky and even threatening sides to his character.
His former editor Max Hastings has also talked of his “startling flashes of instability”.
Over many years — going back to his youth where he expected girlfriends to pay for him and do his washing and cleaning while enduring his infidelity.
Even the Court of Appeal expressed concerns in a judgment in 2013 on whether a gagging order should be granted to prevent publication of a story concerning his love child with an art consultant, Helen Macintyre. A senior judge raised questions about his fitness for power because of his “recklessness” about pregnancy and the feelings of others when conducting “extramarital adulterous liaisons”.
His sister Rachel) has also talked of her brother’s “very Sicilian” attitude to anyone who crosses him.”

      .

    • Have a listen to the great Eddie Mair eviscerating him on LBC interviews and also the Marr show Eddie hosted. A forensic interviewer unimpressed by Johnson’s jolly bluff is his worst nightmare. He is, as described by Mair, “ a nasty piece of worK” . Is the fix in I wonder? He’s melting down and derailing wonderfully….

  3. Hemlock indeed! His eyes in the photo are somewhat alarming…. but who would want to be in charge now?Anyway, I noticed his Jupiter is conjunct the UK Leo Jupiter (1 Leo) and his Mars is trine the UK Mars in Taurus (11). UK Saturn 23 Leo, his 23 Pisces. Do leaders always have links to their national charts?

  4. Jeremy Hunt is my brothers MP.

The richest member of the Cabinet thanks to a company that made its name selling educational courses to the British Council via a very cozy contract he is a man who once put in an expenses claim for just 27p for driving half a mile.
