Uranus – blowing up the past

Uranus, trailblazer and light-bearer for a darkened world, a progressive agent for change. OR a defiant and lawless disruptor so intent on upending the status quo that anarchy and chaos result since the Uranus energy is not well designed to lay the foundations for the new era. Good at wrecking what has outlived its usefulness, not so great at rebuilding.

Puzzling over the phenomenon of Trump, it strikes me we have been so invested in seeing him as The Capitalist Clown that his Uranus conjunct North Node and his Sun in his 10th has been overlooked.

All chart signs, houses and aspects have a spectrum of meaning from negative to positive and none stand alone from the rest of the chart.  But it is illuminating to consider others who have Uranus in their 10th house of career.

On the political side there are startling examples from revolutionary socialist Karl Marx to Mao Tse Tung, China’s revolutionary leader who wreaked destruction on the old culture, Italian fascist Benito Mussolini, Cuban revolutionary Fidel Castro and Palestinian Yasser Arafat.

On the US side the less than salubrious examples of J. Edgar Hoover and Joseph McCarthy pop up – neither were enlightened but both were intent on doing damage.

Criminals also feature amongst the less desirable Uranus in the 10th examples – Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer, Carlos the Jackal as well as Martin Bormann and Heinrich Himmler. Lawless and defiant.

There are obviously reams of other positive examples of Uranus in the 10th from creative types, original thinkers, explorers to inventors and those who influenced society for the better.

But when Uranus gets stuck in its law-unto-itself mode and hell-bent-on-destroying-the-old without thought for tomorrow it ends up in disorder and confusion. The new becomes a chaotic vacuum which is worse than the old for all its flaws.

What strikes me about Trump is that his targets for change are understood by a good many people which is why he gets support. 1. Government waste (in which the US is not alone. Over the past five years, one UK government department mistakenly paid more than £500m in state pensions and credits to people who had died – never mind all the other egregious examples of UK state failures in recent times.) 2. Europe not pulling their weight on the defence front. 3. Gaza and Ukraine both seemingly unending conflicts (and both costing the US money). 4. Undue emphasis on ‘woke’ topics which do not align with ordinary people’s lives.

And OK his remedies are worse than the disease and his motives are suspect – imperial and money-grubbing which is why his poll ratings of approval are not great. But he has homed in on situations which were crying out for an almighty wake-up call.

Change or transformation is never a simple linear process. The old has to be destroyed which only comes through turmoil as old stabilities and securities are upended and it feels like a step backwards (and is). What is crucial in the process is allowing Saturn to take over to provide a new structure. Too much Saturnine energy before the change leads to stagnation but not enough after the initial destruction means the new era will not be built on solid foundations.

I am not a great believer in assuming everything happens for a reason but seeing Trump as an agent, albeit clumsy and self-seeking, for changes that needed to be dragged into centre foreground may put him into a broader context. His Uranus is after all conjunct both his North Node and his Sun tying him firmly into the zeitgeist (spirit of the age).  He stands on the threshold of a new era and while he may not provide healthy answers for what lies ahead, he may be cutting a few ties with the past that needed to go or at least forced a radical rethink.

Mind you that may be overly cheerful since I cannot think of anything positive that McCarthy did or Edgar Hoover or the criminal bunch.

Musk is also Uranian with a Sun square Uranus – inventive, an innovator and a saboteur.

Thoughts to ponder.

  1. I cannot help feeling that Trump/Uranus is not done with the USA yet and that Uranus is not yet done with Trump. As I have mentioned on another recent piece, Trump has transit Uranus going exact on his midheaven on 22nd March, for a possible unexpected change of status. He then has transit Jupiter conjunct Uranus going exact on 12th April for more unexpected twists and turns (and lots of them). Finally he has transit Uranus square Mars for possible increased stresses and outbursts of anger going exact 9th May. Trump’s natal Mars in in the 12th house of self undoing. The dates are for reference and obviously the energies will merge at times. Let see how Trump gets out of this lot.

Add to the above some interesting aspects befalling the Supreme Court… transit Uranus square Mars going exact 11th April and transit Mars going exact 4th May. The SCOTUS natal Mars is also 12th house (if my chart time is correct), only a degree away from Trump’s. There could well be some unexpected decisions from which seriously stymy Trump.

The problem with Uranus is that we can only predict the possibilities of shock and disruption. The actual form they might take are best reviewed after the event/events (or else there wound be no shock value).

  2. Are the weight loss jabs which affect the appetite regulating system associated with the transit of Uranus in Taurus – the sign most associated with indulgence and gluttony. These jabs are being referred to as game changers at the moment anyway.

  3. “Puzzling over the phenomenon of Trump, it strikes me we have been so invested in seeing him as The Capitalist Clown that his Uranus conjunct North Node and his Sun in his 10th has been overlooked.”

Thanks Marjorie. I wondered what you think about ‘discovery’ charts for the outer planets? I looked at the one for Uranus, 13 March 1781 and noticed a curious cosmic coincidence….It does underline the idea of DJT as some kind of conduit for Uranus. Albeit a somewhat unconscious one.

Uranus was 24 Gemini when first spotted by Herschel’s shiny new telescope – the shock of the new?!
It opposed the traditional ruler of Aquarius, Saturn, in Sagittarius (19), and Mars (23), and squared the Sun, 23 Pisces. This year the March Lunar Eclipse will fill in the empty space of that t-square. Perhaps that emphasises our ideas about Uranus, or further discoveries about it?

Trump’s links with that chart are quite striking. He has Sun 22 Gemini, Uranus 17 Gemini, and Nodes 20 Gemini opposing his Moon, 21 Sagittarius. He appears to resonate, somewhere, with that 1781 Uranian eruption into human consciousness, and perhaps that whole era of ‘enlightenment’ (not in a spiritual sense), the gathering energy of the Industrial Revolution, and a changing world moving towards the French Revolution and its multiple effects on other nations, including the USA.

    Also:
Uranus chart has Neptune, 4 Libra. Trump has Neptune 5 Libra.
Uranus chart has MC 27 Leo. Trump has Mars 26 Leo, ascendant 29 Leo
Uranus has Pluto 6 Aquarius. Trump has Pluto 10 Leo

It’s given me pause for thought anyway. I love that Uranus orbits on its side, something so eccentric that it almost sums up the nature of the first of our outer planets to seek our attention. And the idea of Uranus the Magician, from Holst’s The Planets, is also appealing. A street hustler, a famous celebrity entertainer, an occultist, and the deceptive Wizard of Oz.

  4. Trump is a Sun-Uranus in his natal 10th house, the U.S. chart (Sibly) too has Uranus at an angle in the same sign as Trump. So, his Uranian energy is aligned with the U.S. Uranian energy as a nation/country.
It almost seems like what happens to him, happens to the country. And vice versa. So, if he’s diseased in mind and body, the country seems to be diseased too.

The public (4th Moon in Aquarius) also are Uranus ruled…some of them seem diseased, disassociated and unhinged (Uranus) from reality (Saturn). It’s like the public (those aligned with Trump) are unable to grasp or understand the extent of their madness and they may only rest when they self destruct. (4th house Moon in Aquarius square Uranus). They (Trump and his supporters) may not even know what they rebel against except that they feel a need to rebel and destroy ‘the other’ (Uranus in 7th). Or get destroyed in return.

Trump was born on a lunar eclipse. his Sun-Moon eclipse axis is across the 4th/10th and it falls across the angle of the U.S. (Sibly) chart (1st-7th) . There is no positive outcome to his Presidency, despite whatever rationale his supporters come up with. He eclipses the U.S as a nation in the worst way possible.

Very karmic for the country. Chickens coming home to roost

    • @Belle, Uranus in Cancer might LOOK calmer. I am thinking about the 1950’s often viewed as the Golden Age of stable global power divide, the first years coinciding with the latest Uranus in Cancer (1948-56). Things looking good, with an economic boom in the US and reconstruction in Europe and Japan after WWII. But lo and behold, come Uranus in Leo, and within months Suez Crisis and Hungarian Uprising upended that calm. Interestingly, Pluto was in Leo during much of that period too, shifting to Virgo in 1957, and we will get a similar alignment with opposite Pluto sign from 2032 to 2039 – period Valli mention at the US thread. So maybe I’m looking at a calm retirement. 😀

  5. Let’s not forget that Trump’s Uranus/NN is in Gemini so it’s ‘experimental’ rather than done with purpose. It’s ripping up things to see what happens and find out how they affect matters. Archetypally a sign like Gemini doesn’t foresee consequences.

  6. Majorie: But he has homed in on situations which were crying out for an almighty wake-up call.
    No he hasn’t
Trump has done what most populist do–target a minority group (s) at the lower rungs of the socio-economic ladder and blame them for other people’s economic woes (insecurity).

Nothing new. Unfortunately it is effective

Also people hate change even if they have to do it after the fact.

What I find is that America stubbornly holds onto the past even though there is only one fixed sign in the Sibly chart which is the moon but then again the moon is supposed to represent the populace so I guess that makes sense.

  7. @Jane “…… yet he managed to establish himself as having a business sense thanks to that show” which is the most irritating and astounding thing about him, he always turns up trumps (sorry!)

  8. I agree with you Marjorie. I feel we are moving forward suddenly in the world with a strange and powerful, and as you say, unpredictable thrust, that is for the good in my humble opinion. I t feels to me like we have been stuck for a long time. Like in a big traffic jam. And suddenly we are lurching forward. It feels good to me. I seem to see a lot of bad and big things in the world getting solved or part solved or changed, at least. If that makes sense? I was readding an article about the shock of the internet to the world is mirrored by the shock of printing several hundred years ago. Apparently, printing causes a similar shock as SMART phones are now. This unexplained sort of jolt of Uranus may be helping us out of our dumbfoundedness of the age, or something? Love the channel Marjorie.

  9. I would just like to remind everyone that it has been only one month since Trump was inaugurated and look at the distruction he has caused.

  10. Trump is a famous builder who cut through New York red tape, Mafia control and sheer and unadulterated popular dislike to build skyscrapers in New York City. That was training ground. If you want to know what the end result of this current administration will be look at his NYC buildings.

Uranus isn’t motivated by being popular. However, Trump is very popular especially right now. People love this. Even former White house Obama bros are saying they wish they had thought to do this.

Musk said that when people talked to him about Trump at a dinner party he attended, he said it was like they had been shot with a dart of meth and rabies. Those of us who can say what we think know what this means. The Get Trump/Resistance thing is about replacing the authority/Party’s view for your own thinking. The reaction to all things Trump is about stopping free thought. ie Someone says Trump. Then stop thinking, repeat mantras. Attack/insult. Anything not to think/listen.

What has Trump actually done to you personally? Not the future tense but past tense. What has Trump done to someone you actually know personally? If the answer is nothing, why all the hatred, insults, fear and upset? All of that is a sign of control but it isn’t Trump that is the focus of that control but the people who are being put through that.

The screams of the sky is falling seems to be a calling card when in the presense of Uranus.

The Democrats said Trump was a threat to democracy as they forced out their own duly chosen candidate. Uranus is the force that brings enlightenment. Trump is not only disrupting the Capricorn control (Capricorn Pluto transit into Aquarius), he is showing regular people (Aquarius) where they have given over their individual free will to the government or to the Party.

Awakening is about realizing that the world’s rules, government and systems are not our oxygen, our air. We are our own air, we can make changes. We can break old outdated, and usually expensive stuff. We can stop doing things we don’t like and start doing things we do. Saturn’s Capricorn is behind Uranus’ Aquarius, not in front. The second house of the eleventh is the twelfth. Enlightenment’s building mechanism is the dissolution of the system (12h) which in turn becomes the new system (1h).

    • Lumiere,

Broader evidence suggests that Trump and Musk are dropping rapidly in the polls as their behavior exacts a very real and negative impact on the lives and livelihoods of government workers and other everyday people.

Also, I have to add that plenty of skyscrapers were built before and after Trump’s in NYC that are better maintained and actually contribute to the skyline. Don’t believe the Murdochian/Tabloid hype and fabrications, or that he is some legit mafioso who didn’t learn his Machiavellian style from the infamous Roy Cohn.

Uranus is never guaranteed to be progressive and positive. Sometimes it shows up as a rebel without a cause who just wants to burn the village down because he can. It is rarely gentle in its methods, but it can be a catalyst for opening doors, even when its avatars are on the more deranged end of the spectrum.

Democrats and Progressives indeed seem to have been in a Neptunian stupor since Hillary Clinton lost to Trump in 2016. The Saturn you mention is indeed evident in their ossified leadership—Pelosi, Biden, Schumer, and others who stayed too long, and others (Connolly) who feel entitled to “their turn” even to the detriment of fresh younger energy and perspectives the party badly needs (AOC, Crockett).

The outrage the current regime is generating will undoubtedly bring about change, but there are no straight lines with Uranus and Aquarius, as the glyph of the latter suggests.

        • @AC
Trump’s approval ratings have fallen dramatically since Inauguration Day and once the pain of Trump’s EO’s are felt by more Americans Trump won’t have positive rating even among Republicans.

      • I’ve not really thought of Democrats from the Saturn side because I always think Neptune first since the party has a Sun-Neptune conjunction but it opposes Saturn.

Suggests that the Democrats have these fantasies that get blocked but can’t easily resolve this.

I didn’t suggest Trump built all the buildings in NYC I was making the point that he can build things not just tear stuff up. His Aquarius is in the 6h. It is pretty easy for him to materialize his ideas with the air-earth connection.

    • Lumiere, I don’t know whether your post is supposed to be satire or you’re being paid by Musk to post here.
Trump is not liberating anyone or anything.
He is trying to take over the entire federal government to enrich himself while boosting his ego and violating the Constitution’s separation of powers.
Also Trump IS obsessed with his popularity or at least he was during his during his first term and spent months on social media in endless discussions about the size of the crowd at his inauguration.
What Trump is doing now is about abject cruelty not enlightenment.

      • I don’t even understand this post. I’d like to honor the fact this is an astrology blog so I’m just going to add context to what I think.

No one is being paid to support Trump. I don’t even like Trump and didn’t vote for him the first time but he earned my vote because I pay attention to my own life. It got better when he was President. Seriously. That is why he won the country and that is why I voted for him.

Right now, the prices of gas here have dropped below $3 a gallon. I haven’t seen that in years. I’m saving $20 on every fill up. The two remote federal workers I know aren’t actually working, they are on a paid vacation, and have been for years. I don’t care if they get fired. ICE has already dropped in and carried off a bunch of child molesters here too.

Under $3 gallon gas and molesters gone and he might even be ending the vacations of free riders. All to the good here, can’t say I know anyone who has changed their mind on anything or regret their vote at all.

Since 2016, the Democrat Party has been selling the message that Trump’s been losing every day except the days he wins. I don’t care what the polls say. I care what my neighbors, friends and family care about.

Trump makes my life better and, if and when he doesn’t, I have no problem changing my mind and my vote.

        • The cracks are beginning to show with Kellogg having to smooth over Trump’s outrageous comments about Zelenskiy. Then Trump repeating his attack tonight. My personal view is that Trump is delusional and I wonder if there is anything in his chart that suggests that. Would that be Neptune? I guess we all look after No 1 to a degree but to vote for Trump because you get slightly cheaper gas when he is putting thousands of his countryman out of work and enabling authoritarian leaders abroad and in the US seems mildly myopic. I would have thought people with a deeper interest in astrology and how it might affect the world would be a bit more sympathetic to the wider plight of the downtrodden and how their lives might be improved. That said, I do think astrologically that Trump may be serving some sort of wider purpose. I’d hope it was one that shakes people out of their stupor, makes them realise that bullies and dictators have had their day and something altogether more positive is built.

          • Thanks Nick. I would never vote based on gas or egg prices. Interestingly, financially though -my IRA was up 10% this past year alone- under Biden (all in sustainable financial products which I had to cancel on 1/20). I always vote for the candidate who is going to help our most vulnerable citizens. It’s my duty, IMO, to vote for every citizen and how they would be best helped. I also have been reading about Trump’s alleged mafia and transnational organized crimes connections since 2016. This was through Wade Barrett of the Village Voice, Craig Unger and David Cay Johnston. My Mars is in AQ in the 11th.

        • You say this well and respectfully. This enhances a debate, thank you. I have learnt a lot from you all and agree ingeneral that wrecking balls are occasionally needed to bring down obsolete structures. I doubt I shall see the end results being in my Uranus cycle …the 80’s … nor care much. Life’seternal cycles will continue in their spiral longafterwe are gone.

  11. I have read a lot here and from other astrologers and I get the feeling that a lot of high-up politicians are in service of their countries charts. I.e. USA chart has a important renewal cycle (250 years is mentioned) and Trump is the useful idiot to get the job done.
Also it seems like Hitler’s ghost is coming to haunt us, and we, especially in Europe, have to look deeply in what values we want to adhere/persue. This is not what I read but from my own I Ching readings.

    • Gahan,
I think the question of values is confronting the entire Post-WWII Western World right now, as well as center-left and liberal parties/politics, who in many countries seem to have been caught sleepwalking into this rather unique historical moment.

There are many longstanding norms taken for granted for decades that have been suddenly and likely irrevocably upended during the past 4 weeks. It’s quite a Uranian period overall.

Europe and Canada are both seeing now the folly of relying on America for so much of their economic trade and military security. The widespread assumption was that the US would always have fair, level-headed, and rational leadership at the helm. Far more in the vein of Eisenhower, Clinton, Obama, or even Reagan or Bush Sr. than the individual now presiding with delusions of crowning himself king.

No one 80 years ago ever imagined someone like Trump would be president, or that a crazed brazen, drugged-up rich man like Musk would be saluting Nazis and rampaging through the federal government.

Whatever becomes of America, it seems likely that the country is heading for a weaker and much less prominent, downward phase. Even if Trump and MAGA were brought to a complete stop tomorrow, America’s traditional allies and friends are rightfully going to be more wary and less trusting of it for a very long time to come.

      • What is more important is that humanity is moving into an upward phase while the US is going down. France, Brazil and South Korea put corrupt former presidents on trial. The US makes him king and messiah.

  12. The fact the Pluto/Neptune cycle of conjunctions (1399-98, 1891-2) etc now occur in Gemini makes the 84 year cycle of Uranus through that sign particularly potent. It probably explains why someone like Trump born under that influence would be so prominent when it is about to recur. His North Node also sits on the midpoint of his Sun and Uranus in the 10th House which suggests the possibility of historical process (or destiny) as some might think is working out through him for good or ill.

Joe Biden was also born under Uranus in Gemini and it’s should be remembered that the process of the US resetting its foreign and military policy begun under Trump’s first administration continued in 2021 when he completed the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan. This would indicate that current events are part of a longer trend of US retrenchment.

The history of the United States in particular seems to be strongly influenced by the Uranus in Gemini cycle (ie War of Independence, Civil War, Second World War etc). Again the fact the US natal Uranus at 8 Gemini sits exactly where the 1891 Pluto/Neptune conjunction occurred just adds to its potency.

    • If you use a US Scorpio Ascendant as I do (the symbol of the eagle and of predatory capitalism), then the sign of Gemini is in the 8th house, which is of course ruled by Pluto and means among other things for a country economic disruption and possibly massive loss of life. That I think is the real importance of the Uranus transit. A major military confllict, internal or external or both, is likely to erupt when Uranus reaches 8 Gemini quite soon. The fact that Mars, co-ruler of Scorpio, is progressed retrograde for most of the century does not guarantee that this time the good guys win, whoever the good guys happen to be this time around. The new era is the New Dark Age of Aquarius in my view. It will reach a turning point on the Saturn-Uranus conjunction of 2032, conjunct US Mars square Neptune, and conjunct Drumpf’s Sun-NN-Uranus conjunction. If he’s still alive and in power by then, look out. He would be 86, the age of Berlusconi’s passing. The pope is 88. Spaniards wasted generations hoping for Franco’s death.

      • André, a couple of things:

Hitler and the Nazis came to power during Germany’s progressed retrograde Mars. They badly overreached and were defeated by the Allies, though they caused the deaths of millions and leveled much of Europe before that point. They clearly were not the “good guys” unless maybe we would be referring to the people who tried but ultimately failed to stop Hitler.

I somehow don’t see America being any more successful in any supposed conquest. Unlike the Germans, most of the country doesn’t have the interest or stomach for a new hot war involving our ground troops, period. Blessedly, those days may be gone for good.

Trump can’t run for a Third Term based upon the Constitution, but the craven and spineless GOP is looking into revoking that amendment, so there’s that.

        • Trump will ignore the 22nd Amendment and he is already badly overreaching. I beleve the end result could be smilar to Germany. He will not be stopped by checks and balances that no longer exist or silly notions like democracy or the rule of law. I think the astrology is crystal clear. He is in full Nietszchean Superman mode. He should remember how Hitler and Napoleon ended their lives. America uber Alles. The only thing that will stop him is the apocalyptic catastrophes he will cause. Human surviival is an afterthought. Musk said AI will kill us all. These are unredeemable nihilists. Evil is too weak a word.

The US Pluto return has been locked in for decades by the Saturn-Pluto and Jupiter-Uranus conjunctions on either side of it in 2020, bringing out the worst of Capricorn and Aquarius, represented by the presidential duo: nefarious politiical monsters psychotically joined at the hip by Silicon Valley. Trump, a Gemini, has found his cursed twin.

      • When Uranus first reaches 8 Gemini in July 2027 it will be square the Solar Arc Nodes in Trump’s natal chart where the SA North Node will be at 8 Virgo. Uranus goes retrograde later in 2027 when it passes back over 8 Gemini in November. By 2028 it will have turned direct again and will again be at 8 Gemini on 9 May 2028 when Pluto at 8 Aquarius squares Mars at 8 Taurus while both planets make aspects to Neptune at 7-8 Aries. By 24 June 2028 Mars will be exactly conjunct Uranus at 11 Gemini when Pluto at 8 Aquarius squares Saturn at 8 Taurus. It should be noted that there is a Pluto retrograde/Mars opposition in September 2028 which takes place exactly on the 6 Leo NN/6 Aquarius SN nodal axis of the US natal chart. This gets activated again in November when Pluto at 6 Aquarius squares Saturn at 6 Taurus.

If Keir Starmer is still Prime Minister of the UK in 2027/2028 his Pluto/Sun conjunction at 9 Virgo will be square Uranus. This may have significance because the England 1066 natal Mars at 8 Aquarius is conjunct Pluto when it makes its square to Saturn in June 2028.

        • Hugh, I am grateful.

To expect a US election under such dark, malevolent and tragic aspects is in my view pure fantasy. I think 2028 will the most desperate year of our lives.

I’m a big fan of Dark Ages. They do tend to have a long gestation period. They produced the Renaissance a thousand years after the fall of Rome. London rediscovered central heating in the 19th century brought by the Romans to the Briitish Isles. Henry VIII and Shakespeare never heard of it.

          Sitting in the darkness indeed.

          • André,

Definitely interesting times ahead. I don’t look forward to that Saturn-Pluto Square, coming out of the nasty conjunction of these two in January 2020 and what that brought upon the world. It connects in my own chart with a few sensitive points, so I imagine this experience may be personal for me in a way that wasn’t as obvious with the conjunction (even though it affected all of us). Wonder if it will be a new pandemic, or perhaps a nasty new mutation of COVID that evades much of our existing medicine? At the very least, it seems like more economic turmoil.

However the Uranus Return plays out, based upon the present trajectory of the US under Trump & Musk, the United States will be ill-prepared to navigate upcoming crises, be they weather/climate-induced disasters, a new pandemic, an economic crash, war, or some combination of the above.

I just think the government won’t be there as people have known it to be in the past, and people in America will have to struggle to cope and survive with what is, and what is no more. State and local governments will continue to exist, but will be overwhelmed and unable to take on the more comprehensive role that the Federal Government has maintained in the US for decades.

The problem for Trump and Musk is growing unrest and disgust with their brazen behavior and the damage they have done, even among grassroots Republicans now. Their techno-fascist power grab won’t hold up, and they will be brought down, one way or another. No one wants either of these narcissists as king, and there’s no monolith of the population that is going to buy into fascism and clamor to conquer Canada and Greenland or any of the nonsense that Trump continues to spew.

I really think it’s some kind of reorganization of the country that’s coming, ultimately. It’s too big and ideologically diverse. Either they adopt a more EU style confederation, or they’ll break up regionally, starting with one or more major states (e.g. California, Texas) exiting the Union and perhaps bringing others along with them.

          • Clarence, there is a stage in the science of Alchemy called seperatio,a time when components are broken down and dissolved. Like you, I wondered if the US will break down into separate states. It truly is too unweildy and diverse in its present state and the idea of adding more states is crazy. Europe, Asia and Russia will maybe follow this path too. Brexit was the start and the UK always seem to be the forerunners (though seldomgaining from it)Eventually the separate components begins to come together….like when cooking….and something new is made. If the cook isgood, then a good result occurs! If not you have a mess.

      • Just to add that JD Vance’s natal retrograde Uranus at 9 Sagittarius exactly conjunct Antares, Mercury at 7 Virgo and natal Chiron at 7 Gemini are very much in play when Uranus reaches 8 Gemini. This is a very disruptive natal chart particularly with such a powerful fixed star influencing his personality. If he has a nemesis it may well be someone with a significant planet conjunct Aldebaran at 9 Gemini

  13. Those with Uranus in 10th try to avoid careers that require them to work under a boss. They themselves want to be boss in the career they choose.
Examples: adventurers, entertainers, entrepeneurss etc. No 9 to 5 job
    for them.

    • My brother had Uranus conjunct Midheaven square Sun in Taurus and Moon in Scorpio. He couldn’t cope with authority at all and was not able to hold down a job. We as a family always thought he could have channeled that Uranus in Leo energy in the entertainments field. He was a natural performer.

    • I have Uranus in the 10th. I’ve basically never had a normal job. I’ve been self-employed all of my life. It’s very insecure, very tiring, lots of instability and no pension, but I’m not sure I can work for anyone.

      • I’m another 10th house Sun/Uranus who works for herself. I would never work for anyone else again unless I was completely free to do what I wanted. When I was starting my career I worked for a big investment bank in London. The resentment of working long hours, just because it was the done thing, was intolerable. I remember going outside on lunch breaks and wanting, viscerally, to run away.

        • I have Uranus square Midheaven, Aquarius on the cusp of the 6th and am freelance. Couldn’t cope with office dramas and politics in the conventional workplace. Also I like to work at night into the early hours. (Uranus, ruler of 6th house in the 12th).

    • I have a rx Scorpio Uranus conjunct the Midheaven in the 10h. I despised having a boss, no matter their skill level or style. I was a job hopper until I had a job where I was the only person and, from there, was promoted to be the top executive. Now I’ve stayed 20 years. Managing people is not fun but it is much better than having a boss manage you.

  14. “Mind you that may be overly cheerful since I cannot think of anything positive that McCarthy did or Edgar Hoover or the criminal bunch.”

Lol, but worth noting Roy Cohn ties Trump to both of these people. Cohn wasn’t particularly Uranian, but highly Neptunian. His Neptune was inconjunct Uranus and conjunct DJT’s Mars.

As of Trump’s popularity: I think Sun/NN/Uranus is also what makes people hear whatever they want to hear when he speaks. Trump was (is?) very popular with people of Ukrainian descendant, including Canadian hockey player Wayne Gretzky he jokes on nominating as the Canadian Governor (Gretzky must feel mortified, TBH). Internet is also full of stories about Federal Agency workers who, including a FEMA director who certainly heard Trump calling for defunding FEMA. This is why he is so valuable to people whose agenda is very unpopular, too.

It also extended to his TV career: When “The Apprentice” ran, he had gone through a very nasty divorce from Ivana mentioned by Lumiere on Juno post and bankrupted a casino, yet he managed to establish himself as having a business sense thanks to that show.

    • Trump’s inexplicable popularity finally seems to be taking a hit thanks to Musk’s wild chainsaw shenanigans ripping through the US federal government. His poll numbers—never that high to begin with—are dropping steadily as more people see and feel the effects.

Even Republicans on the ground are getting up in arms—and their Reps in Congress are feeling the heat—over Trump and Musk’s antics and the key social programs that are in their crosshairs, not to mention his cozying up to Putin at the expense of Ukraine. There are still a fair number of Cold War era Republicans around that will always view any leader of Russia as a mortal enemy of the US, and enemies of those leaders as friends.

Still, people desperately wanted change, but they didn’t specify the what and how of it. Be careful what you wish for, as the saying goes.

I agree with Marjorie that some things probably needed to be shaken up in the US and international order, but nothing sustainable whatsoever is going to come directly from this man himself or his regime. It feels like his role in causing all the disruption may just be the catalyst for whatever comes up in his wake.

There’s still the US Uranus Return to come, in Gemini, so we may get a “preview” of its theme later this Summer before the main event truly begins in 2026-7.

If I had to hazard a guess, there’s probably a deeper reorganization of the US to come, and it may involve an outright breakup, or at least some re-configuration of states and regions. The nation has reached such an impasse on ideology that it’s hard to see what compromises can be reached to keep it all stitched together. But true to Uranus, the obvious lines and political allegiances now could shift considerably as things play out. Gemini also suggests a duality of some kind in the mix, so there’s that too.

  15. Interesting. But through his behaviour, Trump is helping to shore up the dictator Putin and give hope to Xi that there is no longer a strong democratic alliance to resist an invasion of Taiwan. So Trump might upend some entrenched systems, but in the process, bolster older and more repressive ones.

      • Usually the dictator who is the revolutionary eventually becomes the old order. Which is why Aquarius is ruled by both Uranus and Saturn. In Trump’s case, I’m not sure his Gemini Sun-Uranus will ever become staid, there are always new ways to keep looking at things and therefore rip apart again

      • Precisely what Putin wants/wanted too and of which more than 50% lies in the now occupied/illegally annexed territories in the east.

        • Worst case scenario in my view: Russia gets “peace”, land and rid of Zelensky with Trump’s help, Trump expects the rare earths for services rendered. Russia defaults on the deal leaving Trump looking very, very silly. Relations sour. Trump (not a good loser) needing to save face seeks revenge on Russia . What form will that take?

      • Well, it’s obvious because entire AI ecosystem and Muskrat industries need it. But who is going to extract it for them? Owning it is one thing, but making use of the resources is something else. Russia has no means, but EU sure does. So Ukraine is not going to comply willingly with wannabe dictator/king.
