Trump – racism panders to the base

That Trump is racist is hardly new news given his track record from way back being sued by the Federal Government for discrimination against persons of colour in rental properties with his father; and more recently his Charlottesville reactions and pandering to white supremacists. The silence from the Republican Party has been deafening and shaming over this recent spat telling congresswomen of colour they should go ‘home’. It’s reckoned because the GOP share similar views and they also think they are a vote catcher.

It’s a pact with the devil which will start to unravel in 2020/21. Trump’s relationship chart with GOP February 1854 has tr Neptune squaring and dissolving the ties-that-bind Pluto from late April into 2021; followed by a confused, disastrous tr Neptune square the Saturn in 2022/23 – so a long drawn out phase of counting the cost of the tainted deal. His relationship chart with the 1856 GOP also hints at an undermining of the connection and aggravation from early 2020 onwards with tr Neptune square the composite Pluto and tr Pluto trine the Mars through 2021 as well.

Trump’s relationship with the USA chart is stretched to breaking point with underground rage surfacing with tr Pluto opposition the composite Mars right through 2019 till December 2020.

Of the four Congresswoman who make up The Squad, whom he suggested should go back from whence they came, three were born in the USA and the fourth is a naturalised American. All are feisty and well capable of looking after themselves. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a Sun Mars in Libra with Jupiter in Cancer opposition the triple conjunction in Capricorn. Ilhan Omar is also a Sun Libra conjunct Saturn Jupiter and Pluto as well, with Mars in flamboyant Leo in a volatile square to Venus Uranus in Scorpio. Ayanna Pressley is a Sun in Aquarius square an immoveable Mars in Taurus, with an Air Grand Trine of Jupiter in Aquarius trine Saturn in Gemini trine Uranus. Rashida Tlaib is a Sun, Saturn, Mercury, Venus in Leo.

They are all strong women unlike the submissive Trump wives, two of them also immigrants. His relationships charts with all The Squad are at cross purposes with inflammatory and argumentative composite Mars strongly marked, especially with AOC and Rashida.

Nancy Pelosi has also had her problems with them as she attempts to pull the Democrats into line not always successfully. Pelosi is not that easy a personality herself with an Aries Sun Jupiter. Four planets in Taurus including Mars on Algol and an unyielding Saturn square Pluto. She does have a tussle for the upper hand with AOC but the interface with Ilhan is more scratchy and won’t get easier. Both Ayanna and Rashida chafe at the bit and dislike the controls Pelosi exerts over them.

  1. Off topic for this post. I just remembered who was born in the 1946 to 48 bracket. I got so caught up thinking it may be a liberal politician I forgot about Mitt Romney. He was born in 1947 and according to a previous post on him by Marjorie, he’s slated for major benefits in 2020. His seeming buoyancy over the election and inauguration is starting to make sense. The reason is still unclear tho. Trump is definitely screwed. Im salivating at what’s coming for the Idiot in Chief. The plot thickens!!

  2. She won’t listen. Like others who posted in the past in favor of Trumpism.

They are a pox upon the land. I fear real civil war.

      • Oh dear – I’m afraid that I am not hopeful when it comes to Trump. His rhetoric in this instance was too disturbing for words – words have power and can draw out the very worst in the crowd mentality as we saw at that rally. He is absolutely playing with fire. Irresponsible, stupid and reckless.

    • If Trump wasn’t president, he and his rallies would be shut down, and he would be facing life in prison for inciting hate-crimes, sedition, and committing treason.

  3. Wendy, There’s a thing called confirmation bias: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/science-choice/201504/what-is-confirmation-bias and https://www.britannica.com/science/confirmation-bias.
Putting the adjective “brilliant” anywhere near Trump (especially coupled with “strategy”) takes a level of mental gymnastics that’s Olympian. (Hey, I get it, we’ve all gotta get our mental exercise somewhere.)
Just because some anonymous Dem called this one for him doesn’t mean it was an accurate assessment or a deliberate strategy on Trump’s part, especially considering all his bankruptcies, the 1.17 BILLION dollars he lost in <10 years, the honest assessment of a now ex UK Ambassador, and his own cabinet members (some of whom, unlike him, actually ran successful businesses).
Oh, and since you're so keen on quoting Jake Tapper, here's a retweet from him with a Politico article from Jack O’Donnell, former president of Trump Plaza Hotel & Casino: https://twitter.com/WalshFreedom/status/1151144862085013506, feedback from a White Supremacist (also on Jake Tapper's show: https://twitter.com/jaketapper/status/1151262955591352322) and a run down of Trump's racist views and actions over the years (https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2019/06/trump-racism-comments/588067/), excluding the latest one of course, because who can keep up?

  4. Umberto Eco – common features of fascism:
    1. Disagreement is treason.
    2. Fear of difference.
    3. Appeal to social frustration.
    4. The obsession with a plot. “The followers must feel besieged.
    5. The enemy is both strong and weak.
    6. Contempt for the weak. “Elitism is a typical aspect of any reactionary ideology.”
    7. Machismo and weaponry. “Machismo implies both disdain for women and intolerance and condemnation of nonstandard sexual habits, from chastity to homosexuality.”

  5. KKC, I’m glad you were able to see what I was saying. Calling everything racist means nothing is racist and it’s gotten to the point that using it is like the boy who cried wolf, eventually no one pays attention. I saw Jake Tapper did a series of tweets today basically saying what I said:
“The president won this one,” said House Dem 1 of the Trump v Squad (AOC, Tlaib, Omar & Pressley) showdown. “What the president has done is politically brilliant. Pelosi was trying to marginalize these folks and the president has now identified the entire party with them.”

    • Won what? The rest of the world looks on utterly appalled that America should have sunk this low. Way beyond a laughing stock, even of black comedy, this is a country sinking into a swamp.

  6. Trump’s re-election plan is playing out much like the Nazi plan prior to Hitler’s takeover of germany. History serves to teach; unfortunate that the god-king has learned from history too well. He’s enjoying this far too much.

    • All that’s missing is the modern equivalent of a Kristallnacht. That will be the point if no return. The camps are ready and functioning, packed with children.

    • I just remembered who was born in the 1946 to 48 bracket. I got so caught up thinking it may be a liberal politician I forgot about Mitt Romney. He was born in 1947 and according to a previous post on him by Marjorie, he’s slated for major benefits in 2020. His seeming buoyancy over the election and inauguration is starting to make sense. 7. This might be the reason for Trump’s racist “distraction” tweets: “https://www.msnbc.com/morning-joe/watch/newly-found-footage-shows-trump-epstein-at-a-92-party-64001605666”
Unfortunately, even if he’s solely tweeting out outrageous claims or plans of actions to stoke up media frenzy as a distraction tactic, it still tears at the fabric of US society and destabilizes its norms. Neither the Democratic nor the Republican party can really afford to ignore them without alienating some of their electorate.

  8. His ratings just went up within the Republican Party (sigh). But given that his chaos usually has an underlying distraction agenda I’d suggest deflecting attention from Epstein was also a factor.

  9. Wendy, You also wrote: “There’s no evidence that what he said was racist. In fact he said to come back and show us what you learned.” I’m guessing that’s why Clarence called you a Trump apologist.
Practically every day, Trump is testing people’s willingness to sink lower with him and every day, people follow suit. I hope when they come for you, there are still people left to defend your rights.

  10. Wendy, You also wrote: “There’s no evidence that what he said was racist. In fact he said to come back and show us what you learned.” I’m guessing that’s why Clarence called you a Trump apologist.

  11. Clarence— Trump apologist? I’m giving my interpretation of Trump seeing an opening to tie traditional Dems like Pelosi with far-left Dems like The Squad and going for it because he knows from the polling that The Squad is not popular with voters. That’s it. Will it work? No clue.

  12. Wendy, when will you Trump apologists lay off of it? His blatant racism is as established as the elements. When he said he could shoot someone and nothing would happen, it’s for people like you that he gets away with such crassness.

The only thing the man richly deserves is a legal comeuppance for his running riot of malfeasance. The day the US deals justice to its 1%ers, including him, that will be the day it finally begins to live up to its high and mighty Constitutional ideas. Perhaps its pending Pluto Return is presenting such an opportunity.

  13. You are missing the bigger picture about what Trump did. First Pelosi dismisses The Squad saying: “They have their public whatever and their Twitter world. But they don’t have any following. They’re four people and that’s how many votes they got.” Pelosi in a sense was trying to draw a line and say, ‘We are not them’.

The day before his tweet Trump saw that Republicans back him 94% so he understood he will have their backing no matter what. AOC has a 22% backing and Omar 9%. He wants to tie Pelosi and the Dem party to the four most radical Democrats in Congress. He needed Pelosi to back them to show how far left the Dems have swung. Otherwise she’ll be accused of being a Trump apologist.

There’s no evidence that what he said was racist. In fact he said to come back and show us what you learned. What he said was basically designed to say, ‘If you don’t like America, there are a lot of other places you could go.’ It was Pelosi who the other day was being accused of racism by the very four people who she’s now defending. If Pelosi and everyone else is a racist, what does it mean anymore?

    Also…
David Axelrod tweeted: “with his deliberate, racist outburst, @realDonaldTrump
wants to raise the profile of his targets, drive Dems to defend them and make them emblematic of the entire party. It’s a cold, hard strategy.” Yep.

    • Nancy
Perception is key here and i don’t believe Trump’s fan base or most people for that matter analyzed and came up with your version of the how and why. Trump knows exactly what he meant and so do most. It is implied.

I was just wondering what he says when cursing and quarrelling with his foreign wives. Do you think he said the same thing and some?

    • wow. only person that seemed to get it. Is all about winning the next election, has nothing to do with racist of not. Trump is a clever guy, racist or not is irrevant for him, winning only thing matters. Is all calculated to target his base, that will get him the vote. Unfortunately they fall into the trap by getting emotional. Oh well Trump 4 more years.

  14. Tr Neptune square Pluto/Saturn and its effects on the Republican chart gives me hope that we might get out of this nightmare. Coming up against the Fates in 20-24 may show this political party that they are not Gods, and save us from a rapid plunge into despotism.

  15. All of this shows that Nancy Pelosi is a brilliant politician. In her infinite wisdom, she just keeps making Trump look like a fool and keeps the left flank from exerting much control over the party.

    • I hope I look back on this with my years of fondness for Pelosi intact, but I’ve not been happy with her gameplay so far. One SOTU clapback has not stopped any of the mess we’re in. What use is “controlling” her party and not controlling the opposition? There’s a little over a year left in the Democrat’s House majority, and so far, she’s done a brilliant job reining in impeachment, four rightfully angry women and the left flank. I hope the Republicans send her a nice fruit basket for her birthday.

      • There is absolutely no question that Trump is racist, and misogynist. The 4 women are exceptionally intelligent but are singled out because they are women of color. They have plenty and support and this will get out the Democratic vote like 2018. Trump is very fascistic, which also considers women inferior. The tape of Trump and Epstein acting like pigs at his Florida estate was shown on The Faith Daniels Show. Trump is still creepy with her and says Princess Diana was who he most wanting to date. She was married at the time.

For some reasons his groveling to Putin, Kim, Xi, And the Saudis is not seen as weak.
