Sympathy and respect for the Queen are still holding firm as she ‘retires’ Prince Andrew from public duties. Protecting the monarchy as an institution has always been her guiding light, over riding all emotional considerations, except perhaps where Andrew is concerned. Parallels are being drawn with the abdication of Edward V111 which is a stretch since he was on the throne and Andrew is now way down the pecking order. But her Coronation chart, 2 June 1953 11 am London, does have a jolting-change and high-tension Solar Arc Midheaven conjunct Uranus now so it is a significant moment.
Questions about the stability of the monarchy remain given that Andrew should have been cast into outer darkness in 2011 when he was removed from his trade envoy job after the Epstein scandal reared its head and brought his dubious connections with wealthy Libyan, Tunisian and Kazakh businessmen into the spotlight. And even now it’s not clear what ‘retired’ actually means since there seems to be some wiggle room for leaving him with certain private functions which will bring him into the public eye.
Her relationship with Andrew indicates 2020 as being more of an explosion point, and ditto Prince Charles. So it may be that whatever compromises are being brewed up behind the scenes won’t hold in the face of public outrage – or indeed FBI interviews. See post November 16 2019.
Her own chart with its 21 degree Capricorn Ascendant is facing the full onslaught of the Saturn Pluto conjunction this coming January, which will focus attention not all of it positive on her image. Thereafter tr Saturn moving into her lower profile First Quadrant for several years does suggest a desire to pull back even further from visibility than she has done.
She shouldn’t have to be dealing with this nonsense, esp at her age.

Any innocent man accused of heinous crimes like these would have moved heaven and earth to prove his innocence to the world, not cower behind his mummy’s skirts, like Andrew.
Does a gordean knot beckon? He can take a plea type deal in which he points the finger at Maxwell and some of the very powerful men involved in this. What then? Epstein was murdered imo and if he’s not very careful the Grim Reaper may come calling on fat Andy with a shock “heart attack” or maybe a “car crash”….Arkancided……
Prince Andrew was always the royal child who was going to be found running with scissors in the corridor. I remember him making some completely inappropriate comments when he was sent as a royal representative to Lockerbie in the wake of the 1988 Pan Am 103 bombing. He should have been sidelined by the Palace years ago as he has always been a liability.
To my mind one key point in Prince Andrew’s chart is that Sun at 0 Pisces. He is just the sort of person who will fall into the company of people who will exploit him. Moreover like all Pisceans there will be a tendency for to metamorphise into his surroundings adopting the characteristics of those with whom he associates. This shape shifting feature of Pisces seems to be both their strength and weakness which is why maybe the sign produces either saints or serial killers. It does seem to be the most mutable of the mutable signs.
This current upheaval and scandal made me curious about what was happening when the Prince of Wales testified in open court at the divorce hearing of the apparently adulterous Harriet Mordaunt. It was 23 February, 1870. You may imagine the sensation this caused. Anyway, a quick look shows Uranus at 18 Cancer, conjunct the UK Union Moon and trine the Neptune, with Pluto and Jupiter in Taurus opposite UK Neptune in Scorpio. Edward, Prince of Wales, denied any “improper familiarity” with Harriet. Sounds familiar? Still, at least he remembered her….
Pluto is hovering over the Queens Ascendent at the moment, with Saturn passing over at the end of December/ beginning of January. There is not an exact conjunction over her Ascendent. Not unless my computer programme is out. She is certainly feeling Pluto transiting her Ascendant. Sex, money and the underworld. However, Saturn is in its own sign. The Queen may draw strength and portray wisdom. She is 93 and would have learned to live with her Saturn Ascendant. Perhaps the Crown will come out fighting? There certainly will be strong oppostion to what is being said. My gut reaction is Andrew has been used, by some very powerful men. He was the bait, easily flattered and not that bright. Yes there was some sex; he is an easy target. This is the last time Pluto or Saturn will cross the Queen Ascendent, she is coming out of this terrible time. Of course both planets will move into her first house, signifying the dying embers of her reign. I am nowhere has experienced as you Marjorie, so feel free to tell me I am wrong.
Thank you Marjorie. It is noticeable that this current crisis is a complete Uranus cycle away from the abdication of 11/12/36. Uranus was in early Taurus in 1936, with Jupiter on the cusp of Capricorn.
So it was at – 6 degrees Taurus. Thanks for pointing that out. They’re now shilly shallying about over how much he is actually going to step back. The public will not wear him being out and about in any role. It really will damage the Queen if they don’t get a grip.
