The suicide of a Bollywood actor, Sushant Singh Rajput, in June has dominated headlines for months, sparking off a curiously Indian media storm, with sensationalist coverage, unverified conspiracy theories and allegations given air time on nationwide newscasts. The coronavirus outbreak, the second-largest in the world, has been pushed to one side.
He apparently had been struggling with depression but mental health and suicide are still taboo subjects in India, despite suicide being the most common cause of death in the age groups of 15–29 years and 15–39 years – and India having the highest suicide rate in the South-East Asian region. But the problem is largely ignored and in this instance blame for his death has been levelled at the cut-throat Bollywood system. And more recently at his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, who as the furore intensified and his father pointed accusing fingers, has been arrested on drug charges with a suggestion that she had abetted his suicide. It was alleged she had bought cannabis for him, though no drugs were evidently found in her apartment. She had lived with Sushant though a few days before his death, she moved to her own Mumbai residence.
He was born 21 January 1986 (no birth time) and had a charming Sun Venus in Aquarius in a controlled square to Pluto; with a Gemini Moon maybe opposition Saturn; and an adventurous Jupiter in Aquarius square Mars in Scorpio.
There’s nothing too specific showing on his chart around his death – apart from a downbeat tr Saturn conjunct his Sun Venus which would damp his spirits; a highly-strung tr Neptune square his Uranus – and his Progressed Mars is conjunct his Solar Arc Pluto which is more indicative of extreme frustration
He’d also had several Neptune transits to midpoints on the run up but nothing pass remarkable.
His girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, 1 July 1992, is an equally charming Sun Venus in Cancer though her Venus and perhaps Moon oppose the zany, high-wire Uranus Neptune in Capricorn. She’s also got an exceptionally tough Pluto opposition Mars in Taurus square Saturn in Aquarius so she didn’t have it easy growing up for sure – and it may well have given her a tendency to walk on the wild side.
It wasn’t that great a match though the relationship chart does have an affectionate composite Sun Venus conjunction; but there was also a power-struggling composite Mars square Pluto so one partner would be the one dominant one, calling all the shots with underlying resentment.
The synastry reflects this with her Pluto in Scorpio conjunct his Mars and her Mars opposition his Pluto. So there would be a masochistic edge to their interface.

Thank you for covering this incident on your website. There is more to his death than meets the eye. Please do further analysis on Bollywood if there is a way to analyze an industry. A lot of citizen journalists and one media house in particular are leading the way to uncover the truth. And even though most evidence has been destroyed there are still so many suspicious facts and surrounding incidents that are questionable to suspect a cover-up.

Suicide is always heart-breaking, and often those left behind struggle to make sense of it and come to terms with the shock and grief. Hence all the conspiracy theories I suppose.
I can’t find an exact date for the start of the Indian film industry, however May 1913 is when the first feature film made in India was shown. It’s interesting to see that Neptune, ruling film, was at 23 Cancer then and has been receiving oppositions from transiting Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto this year. May 1913 also has Uranus at 7 Aquarius all month, which has been being squared by transiting Uranus in Taurus. There’s also been a Jupiter in Capricorn return to the May 1913 degree. All of this suggests a time of change and upheaval for the industry, even without an exact day in May 1913.
Power in the hands of a few be it films or politics makes the rest of the film industry in Bombay vie for attention and favours for work. The ones who don’t are viciously sidelined and maligned and in SSR’s case something more sinister may have happened.
According to SSR’s birth chart his South node is Conjunct Pluto which could indicate massive public support in this case after his passing away. He probably had a karmic debt to pay paving the way for a clean up of the rotten system and better role models for the youth hopefully.
Rajput’s therapist even took the unusual step of speaking publicly about him, explaining he had suffered from bipolar disorder and depression, and that Chakraborty had been a crucial source of support for him.
“The campaign to bring down Rhea and blame her for the death of Sushant in the name of justice has been a surreal, shocking and hysterical witch-hunt, driven by misogyny, the strength of public voyeurism and TV ratings points,” said the actor Swara Bhaskar. “She had already been declared guilty by a media trial and so it feels like the agencies had to come up with any reason to arrest her.”
“This is a fascist cocktail of media, politics and the misuse of legal machinery,” said Nundy (supreme court lawyer). “It’s a wag-the-dog style of creation of spectacle to take eyeballs away from the economy, which has shrunk by 24% in the last quarter, and Covid mismanagement. Both of which would otherwise be disastrous for the ruling party.”

Actually this is not 3 official agencies are on track on solving his ‘Murder ‘ connected to the ‘Murder’ of his former manager, also ‘solved’ as suicide. The Indian Press have done a superb investigative job & bringing Truth to the surface.
