Marjorie, I was just looking at old entries for Stephen Miller. It’s been a good six years since you last commented on his chart and transits. Given his influence over Trump’s current administration, it may be worth an updated look. Thank you.
Interesting to see Leo XIV styling himself after Leo XIII who wrote in the ‘Rerum Novarum’ (worth looking at) “The elements of the conflict now raging are unmistakable, in the vast expansion of industrial pursuits and the marvelous discoveries of science; in the changed relations between masters and workmen; in the enormous fortunes of some few individuals and the utter poverty of the masses; the increased self-reliance and closer mutual combination of the working classes; as also in the prevailing moral degeneracy. … There is no question which has taken deeper hold on the public mind.”
If you think about it, this has happened a million times in the history of humanity.
yup…it is a simulation…just need to find end play button
What else might be interesting – and there are great people here good at this sort of thing – is what happened with previous papacies when
– Pluto was in Aquarius
– Neptune was in Aries
– Uranus was in Gemini
– Saturn was in Aries (though this is one of the shorter stays; maybe some other papacy began with this ingress).
If you guys can, follow the inaugural mass, so that we can have the precise times. I don’t know which moments exactly would be of interest.
In a way, it’s a pity popes aren’t crowned any more (not happened since 1963) – but only because of the elaborateness of that ceremony, if I’m getting it right. I think it even included palm branches. Now that we have UltraHD TV I wonder what that would look like. The last was, I believe, filmed, but in black & white.
@El Aznar
I do not think that the only reason Popes are not crowned any more has to do with the fanciful ceremony, there is a subtler meaning to it, it changes the Pope from a temporal ruler of the Vatican (a tiny state within Italy) to a wholly spiritual leader, emphasis on the eternal relationship with God.
Yeah, Virginia, I now see my line could be interpreted both ways, but I was trying to say it is a pity it doesn’t exist anymore because it was so elaborate and pompous. I realize somehow a new dawn broke one day, and it was seen as tone-deaf for today’s times.
It would be so weird, for the lack of a better word, if the Pope were another Moon in Virgo!!!
Depending on that Moon, the Pope could have an unaspected Mars in Virgo.
Sidereally, he has Sun, Moon, and Mars in Leo. Moon, I think, in the Magha nakshatra.
Just reading that 43% of UK universities are in deficit and that the Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson says this is why tuition fees need to be raised this autumn.
Tuition fees were first introduced in Sept 1998 as part of the Teaching and Higher Education Act 1998 which was enacted on 16 July 1998.
Does a chart for this tell us where Tony Blair’s claim that this would lead to equality and that all could go to university has gone wrong. It’s gradually been heading back towards only those with rich parents willing to fund them through.
That’s an interesting question GD. One obvious thing, which I’m sure you’ve spotted already, was tr Uranus in ‘for everyone’ Aquarius was then tr square the UK Mars in Taurus in the financial 8th that year. It was opposing Chiron in Scorpio that July, one degree past the Mars. Centaur Chiron was a teacher, and was heading eventually for UK Neptune in Scorpio in the 2nd house of values, and money.
I was also interested to see Neptune Rx at 0 Aquarius that day, while square Saturn in sensible Taurus. Neptune was transiting opposite UK Jupiter in Leo in 1998, Jupiter being education amongst other things? Pluto now in Aquarius seems to be pointing out the flaws in Blair’s plan. One of which, I personally think, is turning just about anything and everything into a ‘degree’, and forgetting other valid and useful forms of learning and accomplishment. The whole thing should have had a broader scope. Now Pluto challenges the Jupiter/Neptune dream. The Saturn/Neptune alliance in Aries will challenge UK Uranus in legal Libra soon too.
Thanks Jane – I haven’t actually looked at the chart. But I know astrologically it was a time of great change – Pluto into Sag certainly turned higher education into a business.
Who knows what Blair’s plan was. Was it really about educational access for all, or was that just his typical spin to cover his real agenda.
For me, the most valuable part of a university education was that it taught critical thinking skills – a higher level of thinking. If it was about getting more people to university to genuinely upgrade their knowledge and thinking – then it would have been worthwhile.
What actually seems to have happened is the universities generally dumbed down to allow for a lower calibre of student and inflated grades to make the institutions more marketable. With the secondary drawback that many students feel they have to go to university because how else can they get a decent job.
The trouble with getting a decent job these days is that a BA, in particular, isn’t highly regarded any more, and many employers require young applicants to have an MA or PhD! More expense and time for the students. I’ve seen this with some of my relatives. More education for everyone is a wonderful idea, but it hasn’t worked out like that at all. Its now a trap for many, and an awful financial burden – maybe hinted at by that Chiron in Scorpio, as well as Uranus in Taurus? More could be made of further education later on in people’s careers too. Serious older Saturn in youthful enthusiastic Aries could be helpful, trining educational UK Jupiter in Leo and opposing the Libran Uranus. I leave Neptune in Aries out of this, although possibly it could energise some fresh thinking and ideals. We can always hope!
You’re right there. It’s the Red Queen nuclear arms race of higher education which no-one wins. It wasn’t enough to have Honours degree. The First no longer indicative of being in the top 5-10%. As you say, you’ve got to have a Masters now or better. This is the downside of Aquarius – theoretically it’s a great idea but in practice it doesn’t work. Egalitarianism doesn’t work if it just results in participation medals for all. The Uranus/Neptune in Aquarius feels like it turned education into superficial intelligence – giving someone a piece of paper which certifies them as intelligent.
US>UK trade deal. Hopefully we get some lovely grass fed meat and bison and at last some very good produce from somewhere. Great result.
18:08 and in the Vatican City the white smoke rises and the bells start ringing. New Pope has come.
Interesting chart … a mystic rectangle … moon at 4 libra opposite venus/neptune in Aries with trines/sextiles respectively to pluto 3aqua opposite mars 9Leo.
Yes, just had a look at that mystic rectangle with Moon in Libra, Mars in Leo, Pluto in Aquarius and Neptune Venus in Aries. Intriguing.
Saturn in Pisces on the North Node could also be seen as conjunct with Aries – Libra opposition. And I assume with Solar Arcs it will become conjunct in the next 3yrs for Neptune, 5yrs for Moon-Venus
GD, of course and Pope Francis passed under that conjunction too, so those degrees straddling late Pisces and early Aries are going to be of significance under this papacy too. There’s a Kite formation too, with those degrees I mentioned as the focal point of the Kite as well as a fair dollop of Cardinal energy with all thise planets in Aries. Seems very appropriate for the election of an important spiritual figure.
You made me take a peek. Is that an unaspected Sun I see?
Astrodienst has it as approaching a conjunction with Uranus and separating from the square with Leo Mars. Admittedly 8-9 degree orbs for both
Yeah, I guess the majority of astrologers would allow for that conjunction to the Sun, but I kind of follow Hamaker, and she allows 8° for Sun and the Moon. If I remember correctly.
Pluto in the 4th makes me think of turmoil and home, and it is as if I see money issues, with that Moon (the people) opposing mundane ruler of money, Venus, who is conjoining Neptune (vanishing). And we all know Vatican has this problem of filling the coffers.
On the other hand, Pluto is ruler 2, income. And it seems well-aspected? Trines and sextiles? Although both separating.
@El Aznar, and I missed this, because Italian media reported they’d only use the cimney after 19:30 CET vote….
So sorry! I guess I had a hunch. And then I watched those birds, and a couple of seagulls with their baby bird before the smoke… All looked so weird, but in a way beautiful, all pushed up a level by the beautiful Roman weather.
I wonder who will it be… If that Sun conjunction Uranus stands, that should point to someone unusual. Moon in Libra – balance? On the other hand.
Before the last few days I would have said the cardinals have had enough of foreigners and were going to elect an Italian. Now I’m not so sure…
So it’s another First – the first American pope. Robert Prevost, 69 who will apparently carry on Pope Francis’s legacy.
19:13–19:14 announcement.
Pope Leo XIV. With Mars in Leo!
He’s got Uranus in early Leo. Jupiter and Pluto in Leo possibly conjunct a Leo moon (moves into Virgo later in the day)
All very opposite Pluto in Aquarius.
Just looked at him and he seems like a mightily clued up chap
He’s an Augustinian. I like his face, he looks kind.
I thought he look warm too. That Moon in Libra is that.
He appeared at 19:23, I think, and started speaking at 19:26.
Bachelor degree in maths!
Thanks for the precision timing, EA!.
Left at 19:40.
You’re welcome! And the Pope is a Virgo, so precision for the Virgo. LOL! And a mathematician. Important to get the timings right.
He has a cute Italian accent. And also spoke, as you’ve seen, in Spanish and Latin.
He’ll rule for another 15, even 20 years.
Totally agree.. a very attractive man with smart eyes
The semifinals of the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) have just begun this evening. Four teams–Minnesota, Montreal, Toronto and Ottawa–are the contenders. Last year, the inaugural season, Minnesota won the Walter Cup by rising from the ashes, so to speak. Are there any indications in the city charts and one state chart as to which team might get it together and win this year’s Walter Cup? Thank you!
Would you mind looking at the India-Pakistan relationship? Pakistan-Indian partition occurred under Uranus in Gemini in 1947 and much violence occurred in Kashmir in 1947-48. Wondering if the return of Uranus to Gemini this summer portends a major escalation in hostilities between these now nuclear armed countries.
If you put Kashmir in search you’ll find a previous post.
Kashmir – a beautiful conflict zone

While so many people are watching Trump and Republicans, could you do a chart on the Democratic party for the next few years. The spirit seems down, but I suspect the party is merely waiting for the right leader to come forward (someone who will be anti-billionaire establishment and can rally the people better than Trump can). Can Democrats rally and bring the country back to a semblance of sanity?
Hi. Second that. Would you please look at chart of Kat Abugazeleh? She’s running for Congress from IL. Young and media savvy. She made a name for herself as an influencer before. She’s an Aries, I believe. Thanks.
Could you explain a bit about the Harmonic charts, what makes a “strong” one?
Perhaps you could expand on your recent piece about David Attenborough and talk about what are strong indicators in his harmonic charts.
Hi Marjorie!
Carney is now the Canadian PM, Alberta thinking to separate from Canada (referendum possible) and maybe other provinces will follow.
How Canada looks astrologically – separation is coming, possible? Thanks!
Hi Majorie, I appreciate your astrological interpretation. Could you please take another look at Hollywood’s chart again?
This is because Trump has recently announced new tariffs rate of 100% on movies that were ‘produced in foreign lands’, which can affect not just Hollywood’s film production, but also other film industries worldwide wide including Australia.
Admittedly, I do want to know how the Australian creative sector is going to handle in the post-tariff mandate setting. Prior to the tariff, there were several fundings from state governments that were aimed to support the infrastructure of the film industry just to accomodate US film productions. It was a growing industry here and on a personal level; I get to witness that growth, as I witness several film productions setting up on my university this year. However, that growth comes into doubt now due to these tariffs. While this is situation is quite small on the grand scheme of things, if you have time can you look into Australia’s chart for our creative industries too?
Marjorie could please look at the Trade Deal signed by our Business Secretary with India today?
Carney looks like he is going to stroke out during his meeting w Trump … oh dear.
Really? I thought Trump looked absolutely dreadful.
@VF, I think he’s looking increasingly unwell. He moves poorly and his overall demeanor beneath all the orange makeup speaks of ill health, let alone the gibberish spewing from his mouth, apparently without any semblances of a filter. We know he’s addicted to Adderall but what else is he taking?
Both of my parents had/have a form of dementia and I recognise a lot of the body postures, muddled words, facial expressions as well as the attempts at masking. He gave a speech yesterday which made absolutely no sense at all. What I find baffling is the sanewashing by the media. Biden was constantly under their microscope vis a vis his cognitive health.
Hmm the media bear quite a lot of responsibility as do Biden’s aides for not pointing out his cognitive decline much much earlier. It seemed to have been obvious probably two years before.
There is this irksome defensiveness in political discourse at the moment where admitting any flaw on the side which is supported is resisted mightily.
Indeed there are flaws on both sides, but it is Trump’s mental health which is of concern right now. Biden’s cognitive decline was visible just as Trump’s is, but the team behind him were at least competent and his term did not result in the chaos we are seeing today.
Little followed sports, I know, but the talk of the town where I live and a near astrological anecdote: Ice hockey player for Dallas Star, Mikko Rantanen, scored three goals and served an assist at the third time of Game 7 of a Stanley Cup playoff against his former team Colorado Avalanche he begged not to be traded off from last year. I went to see his DOB, and sure enough, he is an October 29th 1996 Scorpio Sun conjunct Mercury. Talk about taking a revenge! Saturn, Uranus and Pluto of his cohort are also all lightened up by Neptune to Aries passage, which might have helped.
What chart will be relevant to the incoming new pope: his election chart? Or his inauguration chart which will come a few days after election?
I was thinking about if we had the Friedrich März elected Kanzler chart.
I am also curious about the chart of the failed vote in the morning.
To build further on this question about the chart for the inauguration of the new Pope, how long will Mars and Pluto remain in orb in opposition for them to impact any new papal “reign”?
