Glorious Goodwood commenced yesterday Marjorie, I note that the inaugural race meeting was held on
28 April 1802 (obviously located at Goodwood in Chichester, West Sussex).
It’s an extraordinary race meeting and was wondering does the astrology
of it’s first race meeting account for its continued success?
Thank you if you look into!
It looks like Johnson is setting himself up for an election. I think he’s counting on the EU not to move and parliament to block no deal and demand a short extension. He will call an election seeking a mandate for leaving with no deal, looking to swallow up Brexit party votes, with the spectre of a Corbyn government as the alternative. It’s a sweet spot of opportunity for him. On that basis, he may well win.
Presumably he would hope to get a big enough majority to ditch and ignore the DUP and the ERG “spartans” so he could pivot to a free trade deal with the EU for GB, with the border down the Irish Sea and NI having special status of being in both the UK and the EU single market.
Of course if he doesn’t get a big enough majority, it would be a huge mess. If still in power, he would presumably have to go no deal at the end of the extension period -possibly December? this might explain the stress of November/December and the exit of Corbyn, which would most likely be triggered by election failure.
Michael Gove has been put in charge of no deal preparations – do you have any view on his prospects over the next few months?
Added a comment to the ASAP Rocky story. It was awaiting moderation. Didn’t get posted. Didn’t seem inflammatory to me. Interesting.
It’s whimsical about what it sends for moderation – always with a URL which yours didn’t. After that it’s my bad for not ticking it approved. Nothing sinister.
Thanks Marjorie. You do good work on here. Was just interesting is all. I know you have no sinister energies. Much love.
Can you please do an update on Kier Starmer and UK Labour to see if there is any light at the end of this Corbyn cult tunnel?
