Maria Vorontsova – Putin for a father

Maria Vorontsova, a Russian pediatric endocrinologist is the elder child of Vladimir Putin. She was married to a Dutch businessman and living in the Netherlands, until calls for her expulsion in 2014 after Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 was shot down by pro-Russian rebels in Ukraine. She now lives in Moscow and is married to an oil and gas executive.

Born 28 April 1985, 2.30 am Leningrad, Russia she certainly has a chart reflecting an overwhelmingly powerful father. She has a Taurus Sun opposition Pluto in Scorpio; with her Sun in the trigger point of a yod of Mars sextile Venus inconjunct Pluto. Her Sun opposition Pluto also squares an 8th house Leo Moon – fixed, enduring, stubborn, intense. Her Saturn in obsessive and conscientious Scorpio opposes Mars for a tricky childhood which inculcated discipline but left her having to suppress her identity and assertiveness. Though her Jupiter square her North Node opposition South Node would give her a sense of entitlement.

  Quite some chart.

For whatever reason her life is undergoing considerable change exactly now and over the next two/three years. At the moment her Solar Arc Sun is opposing her 12th house Uranus, on the same degree now and exact within weeks. Tr Uranus will give her an additional jolt when it is conjunct her Mars in the second half of this May and again in early 2027. And tr Pluto is wending  inexorably round her Fixed T square from early this year, square her Pluto, opposition her Moon and in 2027/28 square her Sun. It will bring significant changes to her life under maximum pressure.

  1. Her 8th Moon in Leo is being challenged by transiting Pluto in Aquarius in the 2nd house for the next year. Could be marriage problems as well? As Pluto is square her Moon and As herVenus/Moon (Aries/Cancer) midpoint is circa 5 degrees of Gemini. Maybe she will be feeling the current transit Pluto on an emotional level too? Unable to express herself. Given her Uranus is in Sagittarius/12th house, she could be feeling trapped, as Jupiter is in Aquarius and rules Sagittarius and is also her ruling planet? Jupiter is the largest planet in the Universe and needs expression. There is a pressure cooker feel about this chart, – the heart not getting what the heads wishes?

  2. BTW, astrologically I am thinking about Svetlana Alliluyeva, Stalin’s daughter and favourite child, born February 28th, 1926. Pisces Sun, Virgo Moon, she had a wild 12′ Cancer Pluto. I think her “road to freedom” might have been Pluto inconjunct her Venus/Jupiter in Aquarius. Really uncommon ability to detach, even when the Daddy Dearest killed her lovers.

  3. Well, while Netanyahu may have taken a page from Vladimir Putin’s playbook disappearing for almost a week and posting AI enhanced videos of old appearances, I feel Putin’s 10 day disappearance is significant given the simultaneous internet shutdowns in many parts of Russia. At the same time, there are an oil depositary burning in Primorsk and an icebreaker damaged on docks just 50-60 km from Finnish boarder. It seems that while the US gave Russia a gift by hiking the oil prices, Ukraine is not playing and the Russian air defence near the NATO boarder is wide open. There are likely some really interesting things happening right now in Kremlin.

    • Saturn-Neptune conjunctions have led to sudden changes of leadership in Russia in the past (the assassination of Alexander II in 1881, the execution of Nicholas II in 1917 and the death of Stalin (movie highly recommended for a watch) in 1953).

If Putin employs an astrologer, I would not at all be surprised if they advise him to lie low for a while.

      • Just thought, could the Saturn-Neptune conjunction point to the known violent death of Lavrenty Beria, and not that of Stalin? All other changes in leadership were due to sudden, unexpected violent events. And Beria’s death fits the bill better than Stalin’s.

    • Having seen how Khameni was taken out by tracking the movements of his bodyguards using the public surveillance system intended to control the populace (that Russia also uses)it becomes very clear that such systems can also be used to take out senior figures in any given regime. As we know, Putin is paranoid and fearful that he will meet the same end as Ghadaffi, for example. So I think he has retreated to his bunker and the internet in Moscow and St Petersburg has been largely disabled also for this reason. If Israel can do it, how long before Ukraine pulls off the same stunt? Hence his absence since 9 March. Sorry, my astrology is not at the level of other contrbitors here. I am simply an observer. I think we are stuck with Putin for a while at least, however, his demise might not bring the relief that we are all hoping for. If Russia collapses it could all get a lot worse before it gets better. We live in interesting times.
