Jeff Bezos – Neptunian hazards in space travel

A Jeff Bezos Blue Origin rocket undergoing pre-flight testing exploded during a ground test on May 28th causing extensive damage to the launchpad and putting another dent in NASA’s lunar timetable. This incident will cause a significant delay of at least six months for rebuilding. Amazon’s satellite deployment schedule faces jeopardy and Musk’s SpaceX dominance in the commercial launch market will be strengthened.

“Long term, the market still needs viable alternatives, so this strengthens SpaceX’s position at the margin, but doesn’t change the broader trajectory toward a multi-provider ecosystem,” said Mark Boggett, CEO of British space investor Seraphim Space.

The Blue Origin chart, founded 8 September 2000, does look devastated and upended at the moment with tr Pluto conjunct the Neptune and tr Uranus conjunct Saturn, with confusion extending through 2027.

Jeff Bezos, 12 January 1964, New Mexico, has similarly undermining influences with his Solar Arc Pluto conjunct his Neptune this year and his Solar Arc Neptune conjunct his Sun in 2027 – so it may be a long haul.

But neither Elon Musk nor his SpaceX will avoid Neptunian sinkers in coming years. His own chart, 28 June 1971 with a 5 degrees Cancer Sun square Uranus will have several years of confusion and some disappointment. His SpaceX, founded 14 March 2002, has a five degree Cancer Sun which tr Neptune will square his 2007, followed by mountainous problems from tr Pluto square Mars and conjunct Neptune through to the end of the decade. Space travel may soak up some of the Neptune but not all.

    • Thank you! I have the sense (not astrological) that the Blue Origin event will have far reaching consequences in the AI sector. Not sure where the AI sector would be exactly found in a chart, however, as it covers so much, but perhaps it would be worth a deeper look to pin it down a bit for future reference. Anyway, the explosion was so massive and so complete according to the news items I read on various space sites that it must have shaken up the whole space industry somehow.

It was very lucky that no people were killed or hurt in it, though careers may be gone as surely there will be a big ‘manhunt’ to find out what went wrong. Besides the outers being in air/fire/air in Aquarius, Aries, and Gemini at the same early degrees (roughly) in signs at sextile (facilitating the accident?), nothing really stands out except the fixed stars/asteroids mentioned earlier and Venus applying to square Saturn exactly. Also, Jupiter was absent as it had no major aspects at the time of the explosion.

We ordinary folks won’t probably have a clue what happened until much later, though perhaps humanity collectively is the fool. Is it science or human folly? What is the equivalent of the Fool card from Tarot in astrology? If there is a universal ‘mind’, does it have an opinion as to whether humans should be allowed to leave their little planet or are not ready yet? LOL, though there is nothing funny about it!

    • Thanks! It appears the symbol for Sedna may vary, but the object noted on the astrology chart is indeed Sedna according to the star maps at theskylive.com, at 21:00:00 (time of the explosion) at Cape Canaveral, Florida.

The Sun, Uranus, Sedna and Ceres are closely clustered together with the Pleiades (the weeping sisters) ‘behind’ Uranus in the night sky. The Pleiades are at 28-29 Taurus to 0 degrees of Gemini. They are easily seen above Orion and Aldebaran, the eye of the bull. Only 6 of the sisters are visible by naked eye.

The explosion is an unfortunate combination in the mythology, especially with the Pleiades, a star cluster associated with the spring calendar in ancient times, and sailing ships and navigation (how appropriate for a space launch). Per Wikipedia, “The M45 group played an important role in ancient times for the establishment of many calendars thanks to the combination of two remarkable elements. The first, which is still valid, is its unique and easily identifiable appearance on the celestial vault near the ecliptic. The second, essential for the ancients, is that in the middle of the third millennium BC, this asterism marked the vernal point. (2330 BC with ecliptic latitude about +3.5° according to Stellarium)……As noted by scholar Stith Thompson, the constellation was “nearly always imagined” as a group of seven sisters, and their myths explain why there are only six…..The brightest stars of the cluster are named after the Seven Sisters in Greek mythology: Asterope, Merope, Electra, Maia, Taygeta, Celaeno, and Alcyone; as well as their parents, Pleione and Atlas. As daughters of Atlas, the Hyades were sisters of the Pleiades. The stars were not individually named by the ancient Greeks, but only in post-telescopic times once they could be clearly distinguished.”

The Museum of Science has a lovely page explaining the Pleiades: https:………… //www.mos.org/article/pleiades-humanitys-oldest-story

      • It is also interesting to note that the Pleiades are not far from Algol as well (approx. 26 Taurus). The association with blindness and eye problems seems appropriate, too, since the failure of the Blue Origin spaceship must have involved something that was not seen, or missed, in the preparation for the voyage.

  1. While I was going down the rabbit hole of finding that weird glph I came across that asteroid Ate (111) was at 2 degree Gemini conjunct the Uranus that day. Ate was deem an unlucky asteroid.

Ate is a bit interesting in that it’s story is like Eris. Ate was a goddess of Mischief, impulsivensss,. It can mean foolishness, stirring up trouble and making incendiary remarks.

Ate was not invited to a wedding and decided to send a golden apple “to the fairest” to sow discord only to be thrown out by Zeus.

    • Cool. Ate must be the one I’m searching for – thanks Callie! Astro-Seek has it at 1 Gemini on the day of the explosion. The Ate symbolism does fit a huge space explosion, though I can’t find a glyph. Wikipedia says: ..111 Ate is a main-belt asteroid discovered by the German-American astronomer C. H. F. Peters on August 14, 1870, and named after Ate, the goddess of mischief and destruction in Greek mythology. Astro-Seek’s asteroid calculator says Ate is associated with destruction, recklessness, and chaos. It fits.

  2. A Good observation needing Astro news observations and feedback on timing to launch…. let’s see more on this.

  3. Marjorie, what is the asteroid in the explosion chart that is conjunct Uranus at 1 Gemini 41′? I can’t locate that symbol. Thanks!

    • Ceres. The symbol looks like a reaper tool for cutting down wheat.
And lilith symbol will be a black half moon. These took me a while to memorise.

    • Sorry ignore my previous post. I knew which one you mean. I blamed my crooked eyes. Might be sedna because sedna is in gemini at 1 degree. But the symbol used is wrong.

      • The asteroid at 1 Gemini 41′ on May 26, the date of the Blue Origin explosion, does not appear to be Sedna, since Sedna is presently in Taurus, not Gemini, according to this source: https:…… //theskylive.com/where-is-sedna.
Also, at that date, it was not Ceres (which is now at 1 Gemini, but not then). Does the software say what it is?

I have looked all over for the glyph, which resembles a hand on the right side cupping a ball on the left, like holding it in the air. Can’t find it anywhere. Sedna’s glyph is similar but not the same. But, thanks for posting Sedna, Marjorie, as I wasn’t clear on that either! It seems there are multiple versions of some glyphs going back a long way. However, this particular glyph is so simple and stylized that it might be recent?

Oh well, maybe it will turn up somehow, somewhere.

  4. Starkman rectified Bexos birthtime to 3:54 pm giving him an Asc of 6Cn20.
Using this chart for Bezos we can calculate his Age Harmonic chart using
the date of the explosion. Notice the T-square, Uranus = Mars/Pluto-Neptune,
which Eberting describes as….”Sudden disasters or calamities of great consequence.”

  5. Thank you, Marjorie, for your work on this! I think “long haul” is the perfect description for activities moving forward in the lunar schedule.
