Jacob Rees Mogg – an outsize prat

The asinine Jacob Rees Mogg has hit the campaign trial again flanked by his wife and five of his six children to dispel notions that he had been sidelined after causing outrage with comments on the Grenfell fire in which 72 people died. He suggested the victims lacked common sense for following fire officials’ instructions to stay put. And this follows on from his lordly and smirking slump across the House of Commons front benches during a vital Brexit debate.

He’s an MP on the far-right of the Tory Party, educated at Eton where he was known as a dogmatic Thatcherite, then Oxford University, where he was a keen debater and pronounced pushy; thence into investment banking and ultimately his own hedge fund (he and wife were deemed worth £100 million in 2016). A Roman Catholic he’s against abortion even in cases of rape, incest and foetal abnormality.

Born 24 May 1969, son of William Rees Mogg, editor of The Times, he is another dratted Gemini Sun which is opposition Neptune in late Scorpio and opposition Mars in Sagittarius – perhaps forming a T Square onto a late Leo/Virgo Moon. And another Mutable scattergun like Boris and Dominic Cummings. He also significantly has a powerhouse Pluto, Jupiter, Uranus in Virgo which will give him confidence aplenty and his sense of arrogant entitlement.

He regrettably looks upbeat and successful in 2021/22 as tr Pluto trines his Jupiter; with faint traces of that from March 2020 onwards as tr Pluto is trine his Jupiter/Pluto. But he’s got a disaster or two to overcome before then. Late December through till early February he’ll be facing catastrophes, jolts and jangles with tr Uranus opposition his Mars/Pluto midpoint and conjunct his Saturn. He’ll also be facing a major setback as his Solar Arc Mars squares his Saturn in 2021 or 2022.

His relationship with Boris is sagging badly from mid this month for four weeks and continuing on a downhill slide in 2020.

He’s everything that is wrong with our supposed ruling ‘elite’ – it’s almost enough to turn you communist. Brattish boys who never quite left the University debating society mindset.

  1. In the past, centerist politics came in for a lot of stick, maybe it wasn’t “dramatic” enough. However, I would rather have politics where 1) There was accountability, (2) A sense of dignity and (3) the politics of the school playground were nowhere to be seen.
All this bile, vitriol and hate is no good for anyone.

    Pax vobiscum

  2. Rees Mogg’s SA Sun is at 21 degrees Cancer currently being opposed by Pluto with Saturn catching up shortly. The lunar eclipse in Jan. 2020 will be at 20 degrees Cancer – close to the SA Sun. This could suggest turbulent times for Rees-Mogg in the next couple of months.

It is interesting to note that Farage, Johnson, Cameron and Rees-Mogg are part of the ’60s Uranus/ Pluto in Virgo generation and they are responsible for much of the current political turmoil in the UK. The Uranus Pluto cycle is seen as profoundly reactionary and hugely disruptive – which seems like quite an apt appraisal of the impact of these individuals. Combined with the immiment Saturn Pluto conjunction (with Jupiter passing through Capricorn next year), it seems like 2020 will be a time of intense upheaval.

    • Yes, lot’s of mutable energy in the 60’s outer planets too, which at it’s worst tends to go round in circles. Jo Swinson and Jeremy Corbyn have quite a lot of Mutable too, even though they were born 20 years either side, so quite a lot of that energy around in politics. The only one who doesn’t is Nicola Sturgeon, she is much more Cardinal/Fixed and I suppose whether you agree with her or not, at the moment she is the one with the clearest, unwavering vision and goal of what she wants. I wonder if we’ll have another year of elections in 2020, God help us

  3. Moderator: Ad hominem insults not welcome. Not lady-like behaviour.

‘Rees-Mogg is far from perfect and he is able to admit his error when he is wrong.’

    • Dear oh dear. I’ve left this up – temporarily – as an example of ??? – bigoted judgementalism. Any more and North Kensington will be consigned to eternal silence as far as this website is concerned.

      • Lol an incel Jacob Rees-Mogg fanboy from North Kensington (bedsit in Harlesden)? Still the trolling is lame. 2/10 for the ad hominem accusation before all the weird personal attacks on people’s age (seriously, what is that obsession about? lol) and the heavy sprinkling of misogyny. Ooops, did I judge?

    • How funny, NKL 😀 Accusing others of bile, bigotry, being judgmental, etc., while the WHOLE time exposing yourself of those very traits in a rancid, misogynist attack in your own post! Eastenders writers couldn’t write such a dreary episode on the theme of hypocrisy and misogyny as well as you have just done. 10,000 points for the house of Slytherin, old bean! It really is quite funny when people like you play Pots and Kettles in which you completely lack total self-awareness. What a tittering little hoot this is! 😀

I’m sorry but, “You lot ought to take a good look at yourselves and worry more about how you are perceived rather than judging others.” 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀

  4. “He regrettably looks upbeat and successful (…)” –> LOL 😀

Brits have a humerous way of showing when they are upseat.

    Love your site, as usual.

    • Shirley – I am totally anti this new government despite having been a lifelong Tory who will be voting elsewhere this time. I think however that it is highly ignorant to compare it the Nazis however extreme the cabinet are/were. This is an astrology website not one to rant about one’s thoughts unless they pertain to the astrology in hand? We are getting more toxic in what we post and would we say the same if we faced the same people in the street? JRM is a cliche and many of the rumours are true, a friend knew him in HK.

  5. It just goes to show that money cannot buy people’s characteristics such as compassion and humanity.

Marjorie’s observations are spot on. Born in 1969? More like 1869!

A ghastly throwback to the pompous upper-class buffoons which almost disappeared in the last century.

  6. Ladies I agree, I’m still mortified how men today still hold such misogynistic views.
If the website displeases you so much NKL, just don’t visit I’m sure there are other astrological sites that will cater more to you taste!

    • You know, astrology seems to be making a comeback among Millenial crowd. He might especially love “Gay Twitter”, very homosocial environment where Mercury Retrograde is taken seriously.

  7. Actually, he did not say that the tenants lacked commonsense for following the fire brigades advice to stay put. He said that the common sense thing to do would be to leave the building. The meaning of the two are not the same. But Marjorie has never allowed minor details such as rigorous research, confirmation of information, arriving at the correct reading etc to get in the way of ad hominem attacks on people who wouldn’t know her or her website. Dropping by this site is like reading the rantings of a bunch of old women. Hugh Fowler is the one person who appears sane and erudite. It maybe that the majority of you are just old. Amateurs.
Btw: Rees-Mogg apologised profusely and said that he was mortified that his words had caused distress.

    • Well thanks for the misogyny. However, his statement did seem imply that the residents lacked common sense, and was certainly ill judged. I have lived in North East Somerset and he was my MP for a while. He is not fit to be in parliament as he is too fixed in his beliefs to be able to represent all his constituents.
If you are so disgusted by this website just don’t visit it.
