A cheerful prediction from the renowned French astrologer the late Andre Barbault about a basket of good fortune approaching this July.
The new-era Pluto in Aquarius trine Uranus in Gemini sextile Neptune in Aries, all at four degrees, will be embraced by Jupiter at 4 degrees Leo to form a lucky Half Grand Sextile around the 20th July.
He predicted the 2020 pandemic as a cyclical low and regarded the 2026 Saturn-Neptune conjunction as a reflowering, with the late-July 2026 basket configuration as its crescendo.
According to Barbault, nine whole “ascending planetary cycles” – as he refers to them – will occur concurrently in 2026, ushering in a new “Golden Era” for humanity with societies becoming more humanistic and poverty contained.
He did have a particularly rosy view of this time – “The peculiarity of the turning point of 2026-2030 is represented by the centrality of the Saturn-Neptune conjunction at the beginning of Aries… Nucleus of convergence of the verb Neptunian, vital priority reinforced by the concurrence of deep Saturnian foundations… We are faced with the possibility of a change such as to make the terms “change” or “upheaval” seem too weak to define the breadth of what could transform in the known world.”
His record in prediction is good, pointing to the crises of the communist regimes in 1989-1990 and the rapid ascent of China and of other Asian countries between 2010 and 2025.
I am not familiar with his cycle theory and while the new age of enlightenment and humanitarianism seems like a distant dream at the moment – we can always travel hopefully. And the August Solar Eclipse does point to frustrating problems finding a solution and thus reducing tension.
A fun thought in dreary times.

Brilliant reading!
Thanks as always to Wise Marjorie and everyone.
At this moment, with the state of most of the world, it feels hard to believe this will come to pass. Yet it’s also hard to believe that a fire-air period won’t leave most of us feeling positive. What I would say is that confidence breeds confidence; just as fear breeds fear. You only have to look at how bubbles and slumps in the stock or housing markets demonstrate this. So there is every possibility that if there is a genuine glimmer of something better, it can take root and spread.
What I note is we don’t have any Sag in this configuration and that’s probably not a bad thing as it can be overly optimistic, risktaking and speaking from its ivory tower. Of course we have Jupiter in Leo but at least there is the stability of a fixed sign there.
My personal belief is that for the world to get itself on track then there need to be some massive changes and those will leave some groups very unhappy. Aquarius has the power to enact that on those who have got above their station – Pluto in Capricorn has extended inequality and put power into the hands of the few; I’d expect Pluto in Aquarius to level things back out by the end of its tenure. We definitely need a fresh injection of ideas which Uranus in Gemini can provide. Pragmatically it’s also notable that the Pluto in Cancer and Leo generations are dwindling as the years go by and I suspect they have held us stubbornly gripped by the past.
What I’ve been personally experiencing since the outers moved on is a focus on self. For the most part I’ve stopped caring and listening to all the stuff that I was willing to listen to and process in the past; those were things which which interested my attention then but don’t now. There is just so much meaningless noise out. That feels like the changeover from Pisces to Aries. And I don’t mean that as a call for selfishness; just that we need to stop enabling others.
@GD Good comment, quite entertaining reading about Sag speaking from an ivory tower.
Oh Gnarly Dude, the Pluto in Cancer/Leo women have been out there making societal changes, protesting, hanging onto humanitarian ideals, and putting ideas into action. Sorry, no astrology.
Gnarly Dude, I know what you mean about Pluto in Cancer and Leo and wanting to move on, we did do as well as we could. But we will be gone soon and then you’ll be left with Pluto in Virgo?
I agree wholeheartedly with you Christine. Of the past 7 leaders of the UK since 2010 ( including Nick Clegg) four have been Pluto in Virgos , two Pluto in Libra , with Theresa May very narrowly a Pluto in Leo. There doesn’t seem to have been much evidence of a great embrace of the future with forward thinking ideas here??
I trying not to make it an intergenerational warfare just throwing out some thoughts about what may come to pass.
I wasn’t really talking about the signs of the leaders; more that at the 2024 GE – 61% of over-70s voted for Reform or Conservative. In the under-40s it was about 20%. That suggests there is a shift in support from right to left wing coming which fits a more Aquarian landscape.
I don’t want to get into inter- generational warfare either Gnarly Dude, but historically the trend has always been that older people have proportionally voted more right wing (shifting rightwards as they age) and younger more left wing- although a worrying number of younger men seem to support Reform.
Trish12 – you’re right. I almost caveated my comment that people tend to get more conservative (small C) as they age. I guess we all want to protect the world as we once knew it. I find myself grumping about “things getting worse” as I get older but I doubt I will ever start voting for Reform or Conservatives. Never say never though!
I know, thanks for your so interesting posts.
Seeing as I am now having a UrAnus Return, knoow just what you mean about feeing detached from all the apparent muddle of human existence. The only thing feeling real is the beauty of Mother Nature which is glorious just now in the UK with all this rain and sunshine. Okay so I am Pisces, Aries….and feel like a happy red balloon floating above everything ! But tethered to my garden washing line so wont float away just yet!
Yes, I have felt a change personally, I can’t really pin it down, except that the landscape feels different.
Agree, about noises off, a sense of things passing and diminishing and shifting. Plus, I have transit Pluto applying to conjunct Lunar North Node in Aquarius…like many others, a Pluto in Leo, for better or worse!
See, I am a fixed earth person mainly and don’t take these changes easily, although Moon in Pisces doesn’t mind. All for us to navigate I guess.
Agree something has lifted in the ether recently. Feels lighter and more hopeful. Politics haven’t changed much but there is something in the air.
I actually am kinda excited but apprehensive about this. My natal Sun is 4 Leo in 4th house conjunct that transiting Jupiter. So the other 4th degree placements would come into play. My birthday is july 28 so a similar date of the year. It suggests an important point for me. Not sure how it would play out. Have been feeling something about to happen for several months now. Fingers crossed it is good for me and all of you too.
Andre Barbault prediction is absolutely 100% correct, even though I am not sure which system was he using, but astrologically Pluto in Aquarius is humanitarian. It will promote humanistic behaviour across all nations around the world. The likes of Trump, Netanyahu, Nigel Farage and others are going to be greatly disappointed and be irrelevant. Trump’s divisive policies are going to blow on his face. I fully agree with Barbault prediction, the real ‘golden age’ is starting soon world wide, not the Trumpian one.
Gloomy me in hopeless land since 4 decades…tyranny…so hope is disbelief for us.
India has leo sun n eclipse in tyranny doesn’t give reason for hope.
Even if jupiter n all r bountiful, like in 2024…it won’t ever reach citizens as tyrant pockets all..
Trump would be happy to read Golden era 🙂
But v need to find a way to hope for citizens where power is affected not citizens
Thanks Marjorie! I’d noticed all the buzzy fire and air aspects in July, and then saw Barbault’s uplifting take on them. Seeing that ‘basket’ as a turning point or maybe an entryway seems to make sense, it won’t be like switching on a light though, will it? However, it’s there, and so is the Leo Eclipse, and I’m hoping for sunshine after the rain. Much better than the ‘Mad Max’ dystopia of my more gloomy moments.
Thanks Marjorie-food for thought: one of my neighbors is doing an internship with a democratic congressman here in Washington DC. When I asked her about all the politicians and about the news cycle and all that, she simply replied that it’s all political theater! There are elections going on all the time and that people have to use social media and do all this political theater to raise money and to rile up their base. She said reality in Congress is nothing like this and that somebody may be ranting in front of the camera one minute and calmly on the elevator looking at their phone the next. She showed me a picture of herself in a huge meeting with RFK that have recently taken place. It’s fascinating to have neighbors that are congressional aides, even if it is a temporary gig. So this really compliments what you’re saying – it’s all political theater to get clicks to raise money and to ride the base, and the more people become aware of this, the more they might be able to step away from their addiction to news of a political nature to give them some source of feeling alive or feeling important.
Are you suggesting that it is all political theatre?
At one time, a long long time ago, the UK House of Commons was called the cockpit of the nation. There was some fighting in the centre, but most of the crowd were spectators, enjoying the show and betting on it. It ever was thus.
As to the main post above by Marjorie, given the dire worldview at the moment, I will take all the positive interpretations and hope that I can get. So thank you, marjorie.
