    • Have stuck up on main drift since I can’t upload and Hugh may be otherwise occupied. Will switch over to normal place toorroow.

  1. Dame Penelope Keith has died (2 April 1940, Sutton, England, no birth time) with tr Saturn just past its conjunction with her Sun.

  2. Marjorie, weather isn’t your usual topic, but any chance you could comment on the upcoming heat wave in the US, as well as the one in Europe? Other than speculative ones with the outer planets etc. relating to earthquakes and floods, are there indicators of extreme heat/cold weather events in astrology (that work at least some of the time)? Thanks…

    • PS. A couple of years ago I read The Ministry for the Future by Kim Stanley Robinson and these heat events are starting to get uncomfortably close to the description at the beginning of that book (which is indeed really extreme). Still, the weather is a real worry and people are suffering.

  3. Emma radacau pulled out of Wimbledon. Can you look at her charts. Will she return to previous success? She seems to have lots of challenges with health since her win in 21.

    • Speaking of Emma. Serena is making a comeback at 44 and a big splash at Wimbledon.
Her husband has also been in some controversy for attending trumps UFC night.
Can you look at her chart?

  4. With Trump’s personal assistant Natalie Harp mentioned in this new book and news, I’m rather curious about a 35yo who fawns over an 80yo abuser, even if he is the president. I want something to make sense. I did some poking around and think I found a birth date and place.Natalie Harp was born on February 7, 1991, in San Diego County, California. Thoughts?

    • I just did a quick chart. If it’s the correct date, her Mars is returning on the Uranus/Mars conjunction. That’s a lot of Uranus/Mars energy that close to the presidency.

    • Also very curious about Natalie Harp’s chart – but could not find a birth time. Do not think she is really attracted to an 80 Year Old man, I think she is attracted to the immense level of power and gaining access to it! This is from the new book REGIME CHANGE. Inside the Imperial DJT Presidency by Jonathan Swan & Maggie Haberman.

    • Daddy and power issues – she’s a Sun square Pluto with (potentially submissive) Mars trine Saturn. Their relationship chart is tricky with a composite Sun in a cool (age-gap) conjunction to Saturn one one side and in an argumentative square to Mars on the other. Plus a potentially unstable Uranus opposition Pluto – it won’t last through 2027 if it makes it that far.

  5. Hi Marjorie.
Ben Stokes ( born 4 June 1991 Christchurch New Zealand) the England test cricket captain has announced his retirement from international cricket today. It was a shock announcement. The current test against NZ will be his last. The resignation came after he was suspended from the test due to a nightclub incident which was investigated. He was cleared and allowed to return.
A sad loss for English international cricket. His contract included the next Ashes against Australia in England but now he won’t be playing.

  6. Harry, his wife and children are staying with King Charles in July. Prince William is, understandably, uncomfortable about this. Would it be possible to look at some royal charts to see how this may progress? Thank you, Marjorie! x

  7. Taylor swift is getting married during mercury retrograde. She is also has challenging aspects during this time on her solar return. Can you look at her and Travis?

    • I agree. Not just Merc ret but the challenging Uranus/Mars conjunction. I believe they have each other’s hearts but it’s an ominous day to marry.

      • Related to a bride who wed on 7/4/2020. She was determined to have a large wedding during Covid come hell or high water. She even moved the venue to a red state with no restrictions on size of event. Venus and Merc were retrograde and I joked that maybe we shouldn’t spend a lot on the gift (we didn’t attend).
She quickly started an affair and marriage ended at around one year mark.

  8. Madonna has written a song with her first born Lourdes, which helped ‘heal their relationship’ as Lourdes held onto a lot of resentment growing up.
Lourdes has Moon in Scorpio which squares her Mums Leo sun. I can see why their relationship was tense.
A chart analysis would be interesting Marjorie.

  9. Just for something to do in this heat I thought I’d look back at your predictions for Starmer 5th July 2024. Spot on and Maduro being elected, again spot on . xxx

    • Interesting question. I usually say I do not make decisions based solely on astrology but I am so steeped in it – who knows what is going on at a subterranean level in my consciousness.
Brexit came as an unexpected shock and soon after I had a strong feeling that the French adventure of 20 years was over. It would not have been a problem since I later got a residency card. But the weather warming up became an issue. Four months of 35 degrees is wearing.
Looking back on the astrology of 2016 Brexit – tr Pluto was just on my IC moving into my 4th hinting at pressure to rethink domestic life. Tr Uranus was opposition my Solar Arc Pluto for an upheaval.
Tr Pluto was opposition the composite Uranus on my relationship chart with France.
And my natal chart had a moving yod of tr Uranus inconjunct SA Saturn sextile SA Sun.
That may all have contributed to a strong gut feeling that a move was sensible.
I am anyway very Uranian so change is always welcome as a new adventure. It took nearly five years to sell up and move back to the UK – as tr Neptune took its time drifting in opposition to my Virgo Sun and square Moon etc.
I hesitate to say it but the French temperament can also get wearing. Driving back through the border into England in 2021, the French customs lady was grumpy, contemptuous and impatient whereas the English border guy following was beaming in welcome and could not have been more reassuring.
France was great during autumn, winter, spring – and a fascinating diversion. But that was then and life moves on.

      • “I hesitate to say it but the French temperament can also get wearing. Driving back through the border into England in 2021, the French customs lady was grumpy”

The feeling I have almost every time I enter Finland from abroad (I think it would be similar in other Nordic countries, but we don’t have the boarder control between our entries) and yes, have had entering the UK as a guest. Just the quiet pride in public service and maybe a small friendly gesture. I can say I have been happy to skip the French boarder control since we joined Schengen in 2001, and I had an absurd situation with a Schiphol clerk in 2001 when the flights still arrived to an extra-Schengen wing, and he had to call his manager to be sure I could enter with just an ID card…

And the fun fact is that my French co-worker who had been living in Finland for 15 years said the same. They are, in many senses, very French, but also studied engineering and don’t like the fact some French people purposely complicate things and enjoy making other people feel less also through bureaucracy.

      • Thank you for this. I too have wondered.

I hope the move has turned out to be a happy one.

When I returned to the US first from England and later France in my 20s I strongly regretted my return and felt trapped, never finding a realistic way to live abroad again. Now, in my 70s, it feels too late and too complicated, but I’ve had a good, interesting and meaningful life with my American husband in the US.

        • It took a while through a rented house in England and then a bought one in Suffolk which turned out not to be right. Finally ended up in north east Scotland which would have been more sensible to come to first off. But at the time the climate gap seemed too vast. Happily now in the melting heatwave down south it is very temperate up here – and the scenery is divine. So yes (cross fingers) – out in the country but close to major shops and airport and friends.

          • We settled on the Southern California coast in San Diego where it’s always temperate, with a cool ocean breeze. We have a half dozen truly hot days, but don’t need air conditioning, opening up windows and sliders for cross ventilation. And for the winter or evening chill, a light sweater or jacket is enough.

I could never imagine returning to the heat and humidity (and meaness) of the DC metro area. The attitude here is live and let live, a strong contrast to the constant judgement and put-downs I encountered there.

          • Every time I open comment section, there is a picture of some beautiful flower. Having a paradise like that was worth moving.
Southeast/Central Europe is unbearable. No spring and fall, only heatwaves that we used to call summer. And winter.
            Good luck Garden Fairy

      • They say that divorce shows you who you’re dealing with. And it certainly does when you leave France to live elsewhere. 30+ yrs of living there so effectively wiped out that I never want to return.
Having said that for completely different reasons, the UK bureaucracy was not a bundle of joy either. But at least people were super friendly and kindly understanding, having had an uncle etc etc, instead of a supercilious sneer because you didn’t know some arcane regulation they’d suddenly unearthed. And that was when you actually stumbled across a human to help you!

        • Don’t get me started on how difficult it was to shut down a French bank account. Sheer bloody mindedness at that end dragged it on for months.

          • I know! Thinking about it still winds me up. We resorted to paying a lawyer. Expensive, but finally we got replies and eventually action. Grr …

      • Thank you for answering. Very interesting. We all have different chapters and that chapter closed for you but no doubt was great fun. I did the move the other way Sussex to South of France. I truly love France and its inhabitants but totally agree the climate changed summers are challenging and no doubt will get worse !! Poor France and its beautiful but drying out lanscapes and its animals. When will the world wake up to climate change .

  10. Interesting watching how everything Trump tries to do at the moment is stymied, mocked and undone. That transit of Saturn and Neptune into his 8th house is really biting. Plus transit Neptune is approaching its half return to his Libra Venus. And how with every failure, he tries that bit harder to regain control and make himself look even more comical

    • Interesting indeed! Especially the Reflecting pool turning into the proverbial swamp (Saturn/Neptune). I have just had transit Mars in my 8th house, now exiting into the 9th, but now Chiron has entered my 8th house in Taurus. I am dealing with the back-end of a contentious inheritance showdown with my paternal Uncle over my Dad’s land …. very 8th house-ish, with lawyers in three countries. Back to DJT, I thought his Venua was in Cancer square Saturn (in Libra maybe, or is it the other way around)?

      • Libra Neptune I meant – hence half-return. He has Saturn-Venus conjunct in late Cancer. Perhaps with Jupiter having just transited over them that is part of it. Blowing up expectations but the natal Saturn bringing them back down

I would think there are a lot of people beginning to experience similar to you – Libra Ascendant is more prevalent as it’s a sign of long ascension – think this may only apply in northern hemisphere

        • “Blowing up expectations but the natal Saturn bringing them back down” … vis-a-vis the fiasco of the State Fair with the model of his Arch … hilarious. I keep thinking of Jupiter as a benefic … I guess the Midas Touch Parable has a point here, turning everything to gold is never a solution. w e l p .

    • Since i’m going through the same transit, i want to say that 1) Saturn through the 8th demands that you slow down, have patience and accept limitations both physical and mental and in terms of legal issues you must expect delays and setbacks. That’s just the way it is. Resistance will not get you anywhere because Saturn will simply knock you back, and 2) Neptune’s passage will take 14 years, so accept that in the field of shared finances there may be trouble ahead in that area. You will need good advice regarding financial issues, mistakes, errors so employing a professional advisor with an excellent reputation may be necessary. You need to watch out for deception or you may be the deceiver, it can work both ways, but if you are the deceiver it is highly likely that you will be exposed. On a more psychological level, this is a time when any childhood wounds may resurface. Drugs or medications can be a problem.

Somehow I can’t see Trump being able to face the complications of these two planets in his 8th with any grace or humility. It’s probably going to be the opposite in fact.

      • I love all the 8th House wisdom on this thread! Can’t wait to see how this plays out with DJT’s smashing and grabbing, self-enrichment shenanigans, corruptly grabbing the resources of the general public (payouts to himself fron the IRS, just taking Venezuelas oil etc). The 8th House being the House of Other Peoples Money seems to be quite on the nose here. Because my own Ascendant is in the late degrees of Virgo (28 degrees), the Saturn/Neptune drama is playing out in my 7th house which stretches from 28 Pisces to 28 Aries. I can certainly sing a song of Saturn throwing up blocks on several plans I have tried to put in place. And Neptune being the ruler of my 7th house is not helping, both my partner and I are coming across fuzzy, not outright deceptive, but I do understand the danger here. Also though all the posts on here about the 8th house, I have realized that the ruler of my 8th house is Mars, who is currently exiting my 8th house, thank goodness – hoping for a little less contentiousness & cautiously looking forward to a more contemplative approach due to Chirons transit of Taurus and most of my 8th house.

    • My thought this point is that he is going to drop that FIFA World Cup Trophy he intends to hold, because it weights 6 kg and his right hand is all but gone.

    • No astrology here, but as a long-time American political observer and activist I have to say that the Reflecting Pool mess epitomizes everything about the incompetence, greed, self-delusion, dishonesty, vanity and stupidity of the Trump maladministration — plus all the negative characteristics I’ve left out.

  11. I forgot to say, beautiful Foxglove. We have a small, dense woodland close by that is full of them, stunning in the dark of the woods.

  12. The hit song from John Denver “Take Me Home Country Roads” seems to have caught a strong resonance with the World Cup crowds this past week. It strikes me as an odd choice. Perhaps a look at John Denver’s chart might show how his music is picking up a Zeitgeist in the moment of this summer’s games?

    • He is certainly having a lucky summer with tr Jupiter conjunct his North Node and Pluto just before the final in mid July. Along with a very lively tr Uranus conjunct his Uranus Mars. A Uranus Return

    • This actually is a very popular football/rugby song in Europe, made popular by Manchester United fans. Similarly, “Sweet Caroline” has spread through England fans. “You’ll Never Walk Alone” is very strongly associated with Liverpool, and gives me goose pumps every time I hear it, even if I am not a Liverpool gan. There are others, such as “Seven Nations Army” riff becoming an ubiquitous stadium anthem.

  13. Hi, Marjorie. Perhaps you’ll do a chart of the Taylor Swift/Travis Kelce nuptials (July 2-3, in NYC, according to media reports) when a time gets confirmed. I wonder what your thoughts are about weddings that take place under Mercury retro. I’ve followed the rectifications that have tried to confirm Swift as either a Scorpio or a Cap rising. I’m in the Leo rising camp because of her beautiful tresses. That would put the South Node in Leo in the first house. Any thoughts? Excuse the frivolous request in light of Venezuela earthquakes, Europeans suffering under heat wave, violence in the Mideast, etc.

    • I am in the Capricorn Rising camp. Taylor is polished now as compared when she is younger. Capricorn will polished themselves up through the years. Whereas Leo will have that natural flair and hair even as a kid.

  14. Returning to Andy Burnham. I would be intrigued to see how the original Labour Party – country voters Election Chart dovetails with the next new leader! As, surely, the July 5th Chart still stands and should be compared with – just a new leader? Or is this not the case?

  15. Hi Marjorie
The charts of Dr. Jonas Salk & Dr. Albert Sabin? Dr. Salk born on October 28, 1914 – June 23, 1995. Dr. Salk was born in New York City & he created Salk vaccine.
Dr. Albert Sabin was born August 26,1906 – March 3, 1993. Dr. Sabin was born in Bialystok, Russian Empire & Dr. Sabin created the oral vaccine.
Marjorie, what in these 2 men’s charts would indicate such amazing discoveries? Sorry, no birth times for both doctors

    • Not much similar. Salk is a double strength Scorpio – good for research. Sabin a Virgo so good with detail. What joins them together are strong 17th harmonic charts which allowed them to leave behind a valuable legacy for future generations. That means 21 degrees plus fraction aspects so not easy to see with the naked eye.
