  1. Hi Marjorie,

This is a very long term thing but could you take another look at Scottish independence/future of the UK over the next few decades?

It is hard to predict things so far in advance but in the late 2040s I have noticed two interesting transits. Firstly, the 1801 UK chart has a Pluto Return. Secondly, the 1707 Act of Union chart has transiting Neptune in Taurus conjunct its Sun. It is worth noting that previous hard aspect transits of Neptune to the Sun of the 1707 chart were marked by the SNP’s victory in the Hamilton by-election of 1967 during the Neptune opposition transit, widely regarded as a catalyst for the SNP and Scottish autonomy, and the SNP’s first victory at Holyrood in the 2007 Scottish Parliament elections during the Neptune square transit.

I would hazard a guess therefore that if the UK has not revised itself constitutionally that the combination of the Pluto Return to the 1801 chart and the Neptune transit conjunct the Sun of the 1707 chart may be the key point which finally splits the Union. Demographically there is less support for the Union in Scotland from younger generations (who are also very pro EU) and should the UK continue to decay politically I can only see this support increasing by the 2040s. The SNP’s chart would be another factor to look at but it may also be that independence happens under another party.

    • Transiting Pluto will also square the Sun of the 1707 Union chart during the later stages of its journey through Aquarius. It was trine the Sun during the latter part of Pluto in Capricorn which I think may have been a factor in preventing the Union from splitting in the late 2010s/early 2020s. So there is some sustained pressure on the Union coming in a decade or two’s time.

  2. Could we have another look at Keir Starmer? The New York Times just published a lengthy opinion piece on him, link below. There are a lot of chart analyses online for him though none have a birth time. I don’t follow British politics as much as the American side, but Starmer is interesting. Wikipedia shows he abundantly qualified, if not popular (but who is popular for long these days?).

He has 3 planets in fixed signs: Saturn in Aquarius, which Saturn rules, Neptune in Scorpio, a water planet in a water sign, and Ceres (thought by some to rule Virgo) in Leo. Plus Sun/Pluto conjunct in Virgo, which are widely conjunct Uranus in Virgo. Venus in Libra and Jupiter in Pisces are also in signs they rule. Mars in Cancer is a problem, as is Uranus in domestic Virgo, but in general Starmer’s chart looks like a tough person, fairly resistant to criticism.

His natal Saturn in I-don’t-care Aquarius is conjunct his progressed Saturn (which has been Rx but is now direct). Having Saturn on p. Saturn is hard, but it is a validation as well. Can he stick it out to see a better day, or might he just walk off to make a pile of money in law and consulting? His natal Uranus is presently squared by transiting Uranus, which can be resistance despite the odds as well as rebellion. Kind of fascinating to speculate.

  3. Re UK’s ridiculous, turbulent current politics, here’s something prescient from Marjorie, writing about the NHS and Wes Streeting in September 2024:

“Wes Streeting, the health secretary, 21 January 1983, is tough, which he’ll need to be with an Aquarius Sun square Saturn in Scorpio and Pluto in final degree Libra; with Mars trine Saturn Pluto. But it’ll be an uphill struggle with 2026 looking grim for him as tr Pluto starts to square his Saturn and tr Uranus is conjunct his Mars.

[There is an oddity in that many Labour/Government charts and Labour relationship charts point to 2026 as a calamitous time – which for a new administration does seem strange.]”

  4. I was wondering about Chiron’s ingress into Taurus on June 19th this year. It will stay until September when it will retrograde into Aries, but will finally leave that sign in April 2027 and will then return to its position – 3 degrees Taurus – when it was discovered in 1977.

Chiron in Taurus can be associated with economic downturns and wealth inequality as well as famine – the Depression of the 1920s coincided with Chiron in Taurus from 1926 – 34, and in 1876 – 1884, where it was joined by a cluster of outer planets including Pluto, Neptune, Saturn and Jupiter, coincided with The Guilded Age in America – a time of widening economic inequality – and in the UK the so-called ‘Long Depression’. In China, the Northern Chinese Famine of 1876 to 1879 killed 30 million people and became the 5th worst famine in recorded history. What can we expect, given that Chiron will participate in the Saturn/Pluto square of 2028?

    • I second this request, and perhaps a splash of a review of Chiron in Aries and anything that has transpired that could be reflective of this transit. Not sure if the Jupiter conjunction (2023) or the nodal transit (2024) highlighted anything.

    • ‘….where it was joined by a cluster of outer planets including Pluto, Neptune, Saturn and Jupiter,…’ Wondering what kind of aspects it was joined by for the downturns/famine/depression to play out? Are those aspects going to repeat in 2027 onwards?
      Thanks

      • Chiron/Jupiter/Neptune were at 17, 17 and 13/14 Taurus in the first half of 1882. In April/May Saturn moved forward to join Chiron/Neptune. Pluto was at the end of Taurus at 27 degrees. There was also a total eclipse that year in Taurus on May17th of 1882. This eclipse was witnessed in Egypt while a comet passed near to the Sun – the ‘Pasha comet’ and was interpreted as a major, dramatic omen for ruling figures or significant economic and political shifts.

The line-up in Taurus was trined by Uranus in Virgo of that year.

    • Non-astrologically, we are supposed to expect a Super El-Nino at the end of this year, which will lead to extremely high temperatures and unusual weather events next year. The last time it occurred was 1877-78 and millions died globally, but particularly in India and China, from both hunger/famine and from extreme temperatures.

Was Chiron in Taurus at that time?

This time a global famine could be worse, due to the Iran situation blocking the creation and delivery of fertilisers in many parts of the world this year, which could affect agricultural output next year.

Marjorie had predicted across many posts that central banks will be stressed out over 2027, though the stresses will start showing up in 2026. I wonder how the UK and the Western world would react to a global famine situation in 2027.

  5. Marjorie, a look at the upcoming Trump/Xi visit in China would be very much appreciated. I cannot find a precise time for the anticipated first handshake on arrival, but according to rollcall.com, President Trump left the WH for Andrews air base at 2:13 pm EDT, May 12.
    Reference: https:….. //rollcall.com/factbase/trump/transcript/donald-trump-press-gaggle-before-marine-one-departure-may-12-2026/

    • The time of departure was 2:37 pm EDT per an update on rollcall. Minutes thereafter NBC confirmed Trump was off to Alaska by 2:40 pm, headed to China via Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. Moon applying to sextile Uranus.

  6. Hello Marjorie – I’ve been wondering about Andre Barbault’s “Basket” aspect pattern, that occurs between Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto in July this year at 4 degrees in Fire and Air. It certainly looks like high energies with creative potential. Barbault thought it was a major marker for the beginning of a positive era for everyone. He said:

“It is the most beneficial configuration of the century and its interplanetary partnership will work for the best in a splendid relaunch of civilization.”

I wonder what you think about this?

    • Jane, Thanks. Barbault does or did seem very energised about this period. Not too obvious right now but even a mad dream is a cheering distraction.

  7. Hi. Would you please look at AOC for 2028? I believe her speaking at the Munich Security Conference was her soft launch for her Prez run. And then yesterday, she spoke at a southern Black church. One needs to win the South in order to get the nomination. Curious what her chart indicates because she hasn’t accomplished anything as a legislator (zero bills passed). Thanks.

    • Apparently from Jessica Adams a psychic astrologer, AOC is destined to become President. I am curious about her unfoldment too. She will probably be in politics for life and if she serves as President for the collective, it’s probably destined much later than 2028… I would think from her age

        • Trump derangement syndrome.

Her commentary on President Trump is overwhelmingly negative, framed in dramatic astrological terms as inevitable decline, spirals, downfall, and historical parallels to Nero and the fall of Rome.

Her hyperbole is certainly entertaining but must be taken with a grain of salt, that’s for sure.

      • “if she serves as President for the collective”, then she won’t be President of the United States, which is a highly individualist society.

        That description alone disqualifies her.

I suspect it will be a Pale, Male and Stale president in 2028 at least. In the longer term, anything may be possible.

          • It is not meant to be progress. It is a rhyming statement of precisely what you said.
It’s just that I don’t think the US is ready for a progressive president, let alone one that is non-white and non-male, like AOC.
Keep in mind that a redneck in the deep south has the same, equal vote as a progressive PhD in New York City.

          • Apologies for being unclear unmystic.

The casual racism/sexism/ageism on your part, was what I was referring to.

    • Add on: if AOC’s chart could be compared with chart for Rep Lauren Underwood of IL; it might prove interesting. They were sworn in at the same time. However, Underwood has been cooking since day 1! She’s passed bills under Rep admins. Her bills, such as her insulin bills, have helped thousands of Americans. I believe she’s passed 19 bills, thus far. AOC has passed zero bills in same amount of time. Voters vote on “vibes” though. Whenever, I am online and criticize AOC’s voting record (she voted with MTG against sanctioning RU oligarchs, for one example), I’m told that I’m jealous because she’s so beautiful and so young. Ugh.

      • AOC, according to Astrotheme, was born October 13, 1989, 11:50 AM in the Bronx. She has an astounding chart as well as media presence, no question, but doesn’t fit comfortably with the natal chart of the USA, except in terms of raising issues and focusing on conflicts in society.

Her natal Mercury in negotiation (or confrontation) oriented Libra opposes her Moon in warrior Aries – which means her Moon is ruled by Mars, which is conjunct the Mercury. That would make her a political debater and activist as well as fighter (what goes around, comes around). She has a stellium of Uranus/Saturn/Neptune in her first house (assuming the 11:50 am time is correct). Print off any natal chart from one of the available online chart services and her grand square jumps out, in contrast to a couple of trines.

Hers is not a chart that smoothes sensitive political egos or greases the wheels. Her Mars in Libra is conjunct USA Saturn for aggressive action against establishment limits. Her Chiron is conjunct USA Sun and her heavy stellium is inconjunct USA natal Uranus.

The most affectionate aspect between her chart and the USA natal is her Venus aspect to US Jupiter (she will raise the money and undoubtedly loves her country deeply), but the aspect is an awkward inconjunct. She does have Sun trine USA Mars for prominence, but that alone won’t get her elected president. Her current progressions have her prog. Moon exactly square her prog. Pluto. Not an easy path to follow.

Her relentless focus on hard issues that most want to avoid may be her greatest contribution as her career progresses. But it does not mean she can succeed in a run for president – more like being a perpetual thorn. Good for her, but realistically (imo) it will be a long while before the US public elects a woman to the WH.

  8. The Stay Free Alberta Independence Petition, led by Mitch Sylvestre submitted over 301,000 signatures on May 4, 2026 surpassing the required threshold of 177,732 (10% of voters in the previous election) to trigger an independence referendum.

Might Canadian confederation be facing another decades long bout of separatism votes, I wonder?

  9. Peter Magyar, new PM in Hungary, was sworn in yesterday in Budapest.
It was scheduled to 3 o´clock. But from my observation (parliament clock) actual time seemed to be more like May 9, 14.42 pm. That chart gives Saturn, Mars og Neptun in the 7th house and Jupiter in the 10th house.

    • Saturn Neptune in the past has coincided with epidemics or outbreaks of odd diseases. But there is nothing as tough as the covid outbreak when Saturn Pluto were conjunct in 2020

        • Democrats can’t take the chance of having a woman on the presidential ticket in 2028
Chuck Schumer’s seat is up in 2028 so she will probably run to replace him.
She mentioned single-payer health care which would have to be pushed through Congress and she had higher ambitions than being president.

      • Saturn, Pluto is interesting. The next conjunction is happening around 2053, not too far out. Do we expect the same or less concerning hopes for that time period? Will it coincide with an explosive event as big as Covid or something smaller?

  10. Since the Bondi massacre there has been a groundswell of opinion in Australia against immigration with a surge in support for the far right Trumpian One Nation Party led by Pauline Hanson. Hanson is a strangely inarticulate politician (not that unusual in Australia) who constantly trots out a range of racist tropes doing all she can to inflame xenophobia. Her birth details are: 27.05.1954 – 3:10pm – Brisbane Australia. I’d be interested to get your astrological take on her prospects.

      • Geminis can be amusing and charming but they confound me with their tendency to hold several contradictory opinions about something all at the same time and fail to see the inconsistency. It is like they live in a quantum state.

      • This is exactly what I was thinking! The Geminis I know are not like this. A lot of prominent Cancers among the far right, too. It’s like the manifestation of warped versions of these signs.

    • Pauline Hanson is an oddity with two yods – one onto an 8th house Gemini Sun inconjunct Saturn sextile Mars in Capricorn = hard-edged, problems modulating her ego and will-power. The other Pluto sextile Neptune inconunct a Pisces Moon will make her emotionally disorganized. Plus a can-be-fanatical Uranus Midheaven square Neptune. She’s all over the place.
The other Gemini prominent now is evangelical Pastor Doug Wilson, 18 June 1953, with Pete Hegseth and other Trumpians being adherents. A biblical absolutist he thinks in an ideal society married women should not vote (but instead vote via their husbands, as a household), calls for the restoration of anti-sodomy laws and has affirmed that the Bible allows for slavery — even as he supports its abolition. He thinks the US should be a theocracy, with the government adopting the Apostles’ Creed and doling out punishments for adultery.

      • That is an excellent brief summation of Pauline Hanson, Marjorie. Like Trump, she appeals to a lot of uneducated people, rednecks, racists, xenophobics. Pauline is not a polished public speaker which is a very polite way of saying that. She has always been someone who positions herself against career politicians and large media organisations.

  11. Britney Spears- what is going on with her in the coming decade? She recently had a DUI and is now entering a treatment center in rural Maine. Her boys turned 18 and changed their last names to reflect Mom. Perhaps with a bond with her children we will see her turn around her life and image!

    • Would be more interesting to see the sons’ chart with hers. Sadly I did not manage to Google up fast. Not all change is to reflect bond. Some names do work wonder in certain industry.
