The Royals were out in force for the second wedding of Peter Phillips, Princess Anne’s son. With a light-hearted Venus Jupiter in Cancer in place and the recent disruptive Sun Uranus conjunction and Mars Pluto square both out of orb, it is a more auspicious day than his first wedding. Held on 17 May 2008 it had a Sun Venus in a disappointing square to Neptune; and a downbeat Sun square Saturn, and Saturn trine Pluto. They separated after 12 years having had two daughters.
Peter Phillips was born 15 November 1977 10.46am London with a Scorpio Sun (same day as King Charles) in his case square an 8th house Saturn in Leo. His ambitious 1st house Capricorn Moon is in a determined square to Pluto. On the surface he seems easy going with Jupiter on his Descendant sextile a charming Venus in Scorpio on his Midheaven; but he also has an 8th house Mars in Leo square an independent-minded Uranus in his 10th so he will be unpredictable and determined to walk his own road. Not an altogether easy chart.
Attending the wedding, sombre-faced Princess Beatrice and Eugenie were under scrutiny with recent pointed questions about their rent-free London accommodation courtesy of King Charles as well as their presence in the Epstein files, visiting him as adults with their mother when he had already been convicted of under-age offences. The anti-monarchists are up in arms and with Charles’ 2nd house Saturn in Virgo about to be elbowed by tr Uranus in square from this August on and off into early 2028, the Royal finances will be in for a shake-up. His Progressed Moon is still wending through his 8th just over the opposition to this Saturn now and involving him in negotiations for another year.
His housing support for Beatrice and Eugenie was a continuation of Queen Elizabeth’s indulgence of Prince Andrew who wanted his children to have status and the trimmings. But Charles’ relationship chart with both is sagging more than somewhat with tr Neptune in a disappointing, undermining squaring to the composite Sun with Beatrice until early 2028, and tr Uranus conjunct the composite Moon now into early 2027 which will upset previous family relationships. With Eugenie there are relatively similar Neptune aspects to their composite Pluto Jupiter and Uranus; as well as tr Uranus and tr Pluto tugging at their relationship.
Prince William’s relationship with them both hints at continuing strain running on till the end of the decade. With Beatrice he has an irritable composite Moon Mars which tr Neptune is undercutting up to 2030. With Eugenie he has an aggravated composite Mars Saturn catching the tr Uranus opposition through till 2028.
Of the two, Beatrice would be most affected by any alteration of her Royal status. Born 8 August 1988 8.18pm London, she is a Sun Leo with a showy 5th house Venus Moon in Cancer. And she has two yods, one onto a can-be-self-important Jupiter inconjunct Pluto sextile Neptune which is being shaken up exactly now by tr Uranus conjunct the Jupiter, sending her life onto a different trajectory. The other yod is onto Pluto from Mars in Aries sextile Jupiter which can be influential though also controlling and authoritarian.
Transiting Neptune is trailing round the hard aspects to her Cancer Moon Venus opposition Neptune square Mars until early 2030 which suggests a long disillusioning run with regards to family and emotional matters as well possibly as her social life and finances.
Eugenie 23 March 1990 6.58pm London, an independent-minded Sun Mercury in Aries square Uranus opposition Jupiter in Cancer will also be feeling the dissolving effect of tr Neptune in hard aspect to that T square on for several years.
There was a degree of sympathy for the princesses, being landed with badly behaved parents, but a continuing spotlight on aspects of their behaviour is not playing out well in the public arena.
