  1. Hi Marjorie,

I was thinking about both Saturn Pluto and Saturn Neptune conjunction and noticed something interesting. For just over a century a Saturn Neptune conjunction in a particular sign was eventually followed by a Saturn Pluto conjunction in the same sign. It is only now with the upcoming conjunction that the pattern is breaking as the next Saturn Pluto conjunction will be in Pisces.

Is there some sort of meaning in how these two major conjunctions were interlinked in this way between 1917 and 2020?

  2. Neptune in Aries strikes: By Monday 26th morning in the US several high ranking Republicans were denouncing ICE/Boarder Patrol operations in Minneapolis. Now, WH is distancing itself, Greg Bovino has been demoted and I wouldn’t be surprised if ICE left Minneapolis and Kristi Noem was out by midnight Washington DC time.

There’s some poetic justice in that likes of JD Vance and Stephen Miller made their fascist inclinations very clear by calling Alex Pretti a “domestic terrorist”. I think Miller in particular is in hot water right now, because there someone clearly got through to Trump and made all this happen.

I try not to celebrate too much – the US and the World clearly aren’t out of the danger. What this shows, however, is that there clearly still is some sort of red line with DJT. He hates people who look bad on TV, and that’s what has now happened to half of the WH staff.

  3. And another one bites the dust?Another former Tory Cabinet member, Suella Braverman, joins Reform today, not much of a surprise. What caught my eye was her fixed planets (she’s Aries, 3 April 1980) which are right in line for February’s Aquarius Solar Eclipse, 29 Aquarius square Uranus 27 Taurus. She has:

    Venus 29 Taurus, Mars 25 Leo, Uranus 25 Scorpio, Nodes 28 Leo/Aquarius.

The Conservative Party, 12 November 1867: Jupiter 28 Aquarius, Moon 25 Taurus, Saturn 25 Scorpio
Interesting to see the eclipse on her South Node, while her Leo Mars drive and North Node in Leo (needs attention?!) are pushed around perhaps by this eclipse?

    • Not a good combo Sulla and Nigel with:
divergent agendas from composite Sun opposition Uranus
Mars opp Saturn – fractious, only room for one viewpoint
Mercury opposition Pluto – dogmatic arguments
Venus opposition Neptune – evasive, ultimately disappointing
Jupiter square Pluto – tussle for the upper hand and last word.

  4. The two Americans executed by ICE were both aged 37. Renee Good born April 2, 1988, died January 7, 2026 – Alex Pretti born November 9, 1988, died January 24, 2026.

Is there something generational in the astrology?

    • There was a Saturn/Uranus conjunction that year in late Sagittarius. Both planets moved forward into Capricorn, approaching Neptune in Capricorn in February/March of that year and then back again into Sagittarius in June for the remainder of the year. Those late Sagittarius planets of that generation have been challenged by the square of the Saturn/Neptune conjunction at the end of Pisces/Scheat.

    • In generational terms, they were both born under the triple conjunction of 1988 (Saturn-Uranus-Neptune) around the beginning of Capricorn, which has the Saturn-Neptune conjunction squaring it now.

      • ai-generated to with a grain of salt: “A Nodal Return in astrology occurs roughly every 18.5 years when the transiting North and South Nodes return to the same zodiac signs and houses they occupied at your birth, marking a fated, 18-month, 18-month cycle of destiny and life-path alignment. Occurring around ages 18, 37, 55, and 74, this, this period often brings significant life shifts, forcing a release of past behaviors (South Node) to embrace new, evolutionary growth (North Node).”

  5. Could you have a look at Alex Honnold – the climber who just scaled the 101 floors of a skyscraper without safety equipment. Must have some serious cajones

  6. On 12th July 927, near Eamont Bridge, Cumbria, King Aethelstan unified England after defeating the Norse. (The Earls of Northumberland submitted to him in the presence of all the other Earls of England – I’m guessing the ceremony took place in the morning. It’s definitely not a nightime chart).

Anyway, next year (2027) is the 1100th anniversary. Would like your take on the 927 chart and how it relates to the 1066 chart. Could astrologers have predicted 1066 from the 927 chart?

  7. Hello Marjorie – I wondered which date you think works best for the WHO? I read this today on the BBC website:

“The US has officially withdrawn from the World Health Organization (WHO), leaving the UN agency without one of its biggest donors.

US President Donald Trump signed an executive order signalling the withdrawal a year ago, having criticised the organisation for being too “China-centric” during the Covid pandemic.”

The three dates for the WHO are 7 April 1948; 24 June 1948; 1 September 1948 – when the organisation formally began work. The September date has Saturn in Leo, opposed by the February Solar Eclipse square Uranus. It also has Uranus at 0 Cancer, so the Saturn/Neptune conjunction will square that critical degree which seems significant?
We’ve discussed the shake-up of the post WW2 consensus on here before, and this seems to me like yet another moment when the world may need to reassess things we’ve all taken for granted – like NATO and the UN as well.

    • Both will have their validity but probably the opening day chart Sept 1948 which is registering a Trump setback now on the relationship chart and nervous tension on the natal.

  8. I love your seasonal photos Majorie! You seem to already have snowdrops, how lovely. I am longing for the first ones to poke out their heads.

    • I love seeing them too. Cyclamen are beginning to cover the shady part of my lawn with their beautiful coloured flowers, a harbinger of Spring and this morning an array of birds and squirrels were a hive of activity. I love wild animals. Nature is so sustaining and so important in these stressful times.

  9. Another thing. Marjorie, would it be possible for you to look at both the charts for Trump’s ‘Board of Peace’ and the United Nations? Trump’s board is basically an imperial court/private members club and there are worries it will eventually undermine and supplant the UN.

    • @SD, it’s a classic Trump scam. He will collect the cool 1 billion US$ for permanent membership from autocrats desperate for visibility, but nothing much will come out of it. France, Sweden and Norway have already declined publicly, and I think some of the leaders with a more personal relationship with Trump will do so privately (specifically thinking about “Alex” from the “Jonas and Alex” message) quoting presence of Putin.

  10. Just an observation on progressions. IIRC the USA’s Mars went retrograde by progression about 20 years ago. This may explain why the USA right wing have gone into overdrive in the way they have done. I think were the USA’s Mars still direct by progression there wouldn’t be the extreme flag waving attitudes going on to the same extent. It’s like the country senses its virility is diminished but is trying to go to extremes to overcompensate for it, wondering all the time why it doesn’t seem to be working.

Interestingly on the Russian Revolution chart for 1917 the Mars also went retrograde by progression at about the same time and Putin stepped up his imperial ambitions.

    • @ SD.
The American right-wing has always needed an enemy to deal with its shadow side. Reagan had the Soviet Union aka the Evil Empire.
Now with Mars retrograde the right-wing has trained its sights squarely on the Left and Trump has ramped things up to 11.
It will be interesting see if the retrograde progressed Mars enhances the impact of the next U.S. Uranus Return which was prominent during America’s Civil War.

  11. Trump and many other leaders appear to be doing strange things at the moment. Is it possible to see if anything more is revealing by doing Heliocentric Charts for Trump, Macron, Starmer the Danish Leader?

  12. Marjorie, would you say the upcoming Saturn Neptune conjunction in Aries is reflected in Trump’s insistent demands for Greenland? Will the theme of the next few decades basically be around individual will and international self interest?

    • Something I have noticed is that in a chart for Greenland 1953 (when it was fully integrated into the Danish state) has a Saturn / Neptune conjunction in Libra. A quick look at who else has a Saturn/Neptune conjunction in Libra brings up Epstein, Putin, Brigitte Macron, Tony Blair, Hulk Hogan and others such as Dominique Pelicot (who they are still investigating for cold cases). I have a feeling Marjorie mentioned that Hulk Hogan had this signature in his chart when he died, as both Sat/Nep had ingressed into Aries at the time). It makes some sense to me that those with the conjunction in the opposing sign will be big news now, I will be keeping my eyes open.

      • Interesting observation. The Epstein and Putin situations are surely significant. As is Blair who apparently got put onto Trump’s Gaza Peace Panel.

The Greenland situation is obviously the main story at present but I wonder how it might have resolved otherwise without Trump around – possibly in a desire for independence from Denmark (which seems to be growing anyway).

  13. Marjorie love your readings and takes on politics both accurate and enlightening. But ♡♡♡♡ THE FLOWERS!! Thank you so uplifting!! Much needed at this time.

    • Thanks you. Nature and gardening (growing flowers) keeps me sane.

I am always reminded of the I Ching 2- the Receptive, which is about acceptance. ‘The earth in its devotion carries all things, good and evil, without exception.’ ‘Nature is calm and still, tolerates all creatures equally.’ ‘The power of enduring.’

Flowers and nature are also beautiful – and have a stillness as well as a pleasing aspect – which is very healing.

Sitting by a rocky shore watching waves wash in as they have done for millions if not billions of years does keep everything in perspective.

  14. You’ve written recently about the pressures on the EU and no doubt you’ve looked at NATO’s chart on several occasions before. Given how President Trump is ratcheting up demands concerning Greenland, I’d like to hear what you have to think. Could a few dozen military advisers from Denmark, the U.K., Germany, France stave off a U.S. attack? And, of course, all of this is a great distraction from the Epstein Files. A nice ploy but what if rhetoric escalates into lethal action? It seems all bets are off these days

    • The military advisers were in Greenland to assess what they could do with surveillance etc in addition to what they are already doing as part of NATO in relation to threats from Russia and China. Trump was misinformed about their reason for being there. They weren’t planning how to repel American troops! Word is, an invasion wouldn’t be supported by the American lawmakers or citizens.

  15. Brooklyn Beckham has released a 6 page statement denouncing his parents David and Victoria as toxic.
Victoria comes in for particularly strong criticism. Her Saturn and Mars are exactly square Saturn and Neptune in Pisces.
    Very damaging/embarrasing for brand Beckham.

    • Seems to me like Brooklyn has swapped controlling parents for a controlling wife – and trying to replicate your parents relationship in your own is a typical chain of relationships for most people. Feels like a replay of Prince Harry jumping to take his wife’s side when she is unhappy and takes issue with his family. None of which is to say there aren’t issues within their respective families but Prince Harry seems to be waking up from that illusion and realising maybe he needs his family after all.

Marjorie wrote some about Brooklyn on Dec 27th in the Adam Peaty post.

      • I’ll look at that post.
Agree, both women appear controlling Aries women often need to be ‘top dog’ and Victoria strikes me as highly competitive. Competing with her DIL to be No 1 in her first born son’s life has spectacularly backfired.

      • To me, Brooklyn appears more like a middle child, rather than the eldest. A lot of middle placed children have relationship issues with parents. One of his brothers has said that Brooklyn has cut his siblings out of his life as well. So it isn’t just Victoria, as people seem to be insisting. I get the feeling that he has some serious mental health issues. And that might be what is worrying his family, plus a very controlling wife who is quite happy to cut his family out of the loop. I wonder if he has stopped taking his meds.

    • As a non British person, I am curious are there any marriage superstitions related with having divorcees sitting at the family table?

  16. Randomly came across another pair of intriguing astro twins, plus an almost triplet today. Dolly Parton and novelist Julian Barnes are both 80 today. Film director David Lynch, who died last January, was born 20 January 1946. They all share what looks like a tough Mars in Cancer conjunct Saturn, square Chiron in Libra, amongst other patterns. Barnes (who has a rare blood cancer) has just published what he says is his last novel, and recently married again. Dolly has released a re-recording of her song Light of a Clear Blue Morning, proceeds going to paediatric cancer research. She said:

“Parton quipped that turning 80 isn’t something “that anybody would want to celebrate,” but noted that “there is a celebration in the fact that I have done so much in that time and that I’m still doing it.”

Going forward, Parton said she plans to take her life one day at a time.

“I don’t know what I’m going to be doing tomorrow,” she admitted. “Whatever comes, I’ll give it my best.”

        • Yes, AF – you’re right about “the blues” I think! Dolly’s bluegrass/mountain music too. All three creative souls have been able to depict subtle shades of melancholy in their work. In a world of yes/no upvotes and downvotes that’s something I treasure. Dawn and twilight are so beautiful.

          • Twilight is a fave – magic~~~

( I loved the sunlight yellow DP’s designer crafted for her reissue birthday song, too, btw.)
Props to Alllll the shades 🙂

  17. Solar arc Mars is now starting to conjunct my Ascendant (within a degree), providing an opportunity I think to test the position of my Ascendant. Is this a good timing opportunity and what should I look for?

    • Hello DW, as to testing an Ascendant: I assume you are looking at rectification here and you don’t know your birth time (at all) or the time you have isn’t close enough to explain what has happened in your life, or you don’t have a time at all (except for the date). For sure, I would be careful jumping to conclusions from solar arcs, useful as they might be otherwise – and certainly not by themselves. When you do rectification yourself or have it done by an ‘expert’ the process is based on a fact pattern from your personal history – which you know and have valid documentation for. If you can’t prove it, it can lead down the wrong rabbit hole and you spend your life thinking you have Sagittarius on the Ascendant when it might be Capricorn, and the ruling planets thereof are a whole different ball game. Even starting with a day vs night chart can be tricky if a planet is sitting on an angle.

My own chart is inaccurate within 2 hours, which makes it virtually useless and I’ve never been able to get it closer than about 1/2 hour. It works, sort of. And I know a fair amount of astrology and have had my chart rectified by 2 pros, who came up with different results as to the Ascendant because I was born quite far north and the houses get crunched into really big ones vs a bunch of much tighter ones, so a small variation in the time can put the Ascendant in a different house within a very brief time on the one hand, or leave it in a span of several signs.

There is usually no way to be sure to the minute, or even the 1/4 hour in many cases. Unless you have a record of multiple surgeries, serious accidents or other life changing events, it is very uncertain. But if there is are too many surgeries or accidents or a series of similar life events, it may be not only the Ascendant you are looking for. Too much data can hide what you want to find too and the pattern can come from some other feature in the chart.

Anyway, the technique involves running umpteen charts (thank goodness for computers!) to ball park the birth time in increments, and then testing those against later events with progressions and transits. And despite all the effort, it may not work.

Prominent astrologers who value their reputations often refuse to do rectifications because there is no handy trick to it. It takes family research and plenty of work to get an approximation. Even then, people can be surprised later, by a totally different time after Aunt Betty’s box of cards and miscellaneous papers turns up when she passes on, with a slip of paper or a letter that announces the “real time” when baby so-and-so was born, etc.

So to start, admit to yourself that you may never know for SURE. Secondly, rummage through everything you can lay your hands on in case some hard evidence turns up (write letters to the elderly aunts or uncles and ask?). Thirdly, if you are adopted or there were hard to pin down life circumstances, you try a reasonable estimate based on what you know. Also, sometimes making formal enquiries with authorities can work. Finally, run multiple charts to check out the aspect patterns on the day you were born, which includes the Moon, Mars, the parents’ sun signs and so forth. Solar arcs are not enough to test a birth time.

      • Sweetgrapes,

Why do multiple surgeries make it hard to figure out an ascendant? I’ve had over a dozen which were minor.

Wouldn’t the time on a birth certificate be true, especially if it’s not close to the hour changing?
