Vladimir Putin – seemingly unstoppable but not content

Vladimir Putin is up for re-election this Sunday and should he fail to gain an outright majority, there’ll be a second round on April 8th. No one doubts he’ll win though he doesn’t look exactly on top form. Tr Jupiter will sextile his Mars/Node midpoint on the day which is positive but minor enough and then make a confident square to his Pluto from March 23rd. But he picks up tr Pluto square his Neptune from March 20th until early June, and on and off till late 2019, which can bring confusion, devastation, scandals, deception and bouts of megalomania.

Overall he’s in a mixed year with the confident tr Pluto trine Jupiter returning in July, though at the same time as tr Pluto square his Saturn/Neptune which can bring suffering, depression or illness. And the disruptive tr Pluto opposition his Uranus rolling on till late year. 2019/2020 look acutely frustrated, blocked and risky with tr Pluto conjunct his Mars/Mode midpoint.

His relationship with Merkel looks cooler than usual; with sharp words in June; and in a time of upheaval and muddle through 2018 to 2021. With Macron, he’s on a downhill slide from this May onwards for years ahead. Theresa May won’t worry him much but if anything (and she lasts) 2019 looks worse than 2018.

What’s intriguing is his relationship chart with Russia 1917 which is showing acute strain late April, May and again into 2019 with tr Uranus opposition the composite Pluto and square Sun, Mars; with more upsets in 2019. It’s less catastrophic on the relationship with the new Russia 1991 chart but still facing major panics vis a vis his domestic popularity.

If he does win outright this Sunday, he’ll take over his next presidency under the aggravated Mars, Sun, Saturn, Uranus, Pluto influences so it will be a term of rolling crises and violence.

There’s a long read in the Guardian about Putin’s politics with an alarming story about the reasons behind the brutal Second Chechen War, which according to the author was started deliberately by undercover acts of self-terrorism by FSB (ex-KGB) agents. ‘Since consolidating his power in rigged elections at the start of the decade, the Russian leader has pioneered a politics of fictional threats and invented enemies.’ No idea about its accuracy or slant but interesting.

Ditto his reasons for the annexation of Crimea during the Sochi Olympics to cover up domestic corruption.

Putin’s chart is similar to that of the hunchback King Richard 111 of England who allegedly has his two young nephews bumped off.

  1. Hi Marjorie

I always enjoy your balanced reports. You say it as it is. I get sad when people disrespect you. Blair, Putin, Trump etc are all rubbish. I agree one wrong does not condone the others transgression to humanity. Politicians might start good but they soon loose their values.

  2. The catastrophic lies and MSM/Establishment collusion in the lies back then was my poorly worded point, with terrible consequences to this day. It happened then and it may well be happening now. Russia is a massive impediment to the West’s plans in the ME and it’s reasonable, given the history, to Flag that up. Are they manufacturing consent for future hostilities against Russia as was done in Iraq and Libya?

    • I really do dislike that lazy acronym MSM. If you mean the Murdoch press over Iraq + Fox News and a fair proportion of the US media, sure. But the UK media, if you took the trouble to read across the board, were throwing up serious questions. As were the French. Personally I thought the WMD line sounded tosh from the get-go and 2 million turned out in London to stop the war.
Journalists can be gullible and some prone to mob-group-think; some are undoubtedly in bed with the establishment. But on the whole they are a contrary, cantankerous bunch, suspicious by nature, who won’t shut up if they reckon they’re being spun a story.
To suggest that everything you read is a conspiracy of fiction by the establishment means you never open your mind to the possibility they might – in certain instances – be right.

  3. Alex, The fact that GWB/Cheney/Blair did unthinkable damage in the Middle East – about which I have written ad nauseam, should not prevent me/us from looking at Putin with a critical eye.
I’m open-minded about all information on the Skripal attempted assassinations, but dislike of Western imperialists shouldn’t obscure the very real possibility that Putin was indeed behind it . Why before an election? Rouse national solidarity to boost his patriotic image – he has form on this.
Did you ever see the movie ‘Wag the Dog’ – gloriously funny about a US President up for re-election, ducking a sex scandal by starting a mythical war.
Jonathan Freedland in the Guardian: “Vladimir Putin is a murderous tyrant, who kills or jails his rivals and has the blood of hundreds of thousands of Syrians, Chechens and others on his hands.” “need to see Putin for what he is. Not an admirable bulwark against US imperialism, but an ultra-nationalist bent on fomenting hate and division; an idol to Nigel Farage, Marine Le Pen and Trump who sees our democratic and legal traditions as weaknesses to be exploited.”

What is really scary about subversive Russian tactics against the west is their ability to screw the electrical grid. Four meals away from anarchy if everything goes down. Go read: Marc Elsberg’s novel Blackout. Packed with technical detail in readable form – everything is interlinked across Europe and indeed USA interconnected within itself.

    • Thank you for taking the time to post this response Marjorie. I ran out of patience a while back trying to get through to a certain type of mindset. Enjoy your weekend 🙂

      • I usually try one or two responses to influence some moderation. Afterwards, I walk away. My cousin absolutely adores Trump and venemously denies all other sources of news/information. I no longer speak to that partition of the family.

    • Thanks Marjorie, absolutely right, we cannot have tu quoque arguments or “whataboutery” preventing us from casting a critical eye. Solaia, you make an excellent point about things being not so black and white, though I’m sorry to hear your story.

  4. @ Alex at 7:25 pm …..

Spot on Alex, however you forgot to mention the part that the UK has played / plays in Syria and the Yemen. No mention of any of the points that you’ve made / I’ve made from the UK MSM. Just the usual ploy of duping, brainwashing, the masses by using propaganda techniques such as suppression of information, omission and cherrypicking. All in the name of protecting the Establishment.

I also wonder why a leader as canny and cunning as Putin would actually create an International incident a week before the Russian General Election? I mean to say why not just poison someone with nerve gas AFTER you’ve been elected or if you want rid of someone toute suite carry on with the normal, successful ‘suicide rigging’ that the Metropolitan Police, MI5 / 6 have been turning a blind eye to for years now?

    • @ Alex, the very little real support that Putin has, once you take away the people beaten into apathy and inertia who probably in fact account for the majority, hinges on the image of Putin being a ‘strong leader’ in the international arena, someone who doesn’t let people push him around, someone who will ‘stand up for Russia.’ An international ‘crisis’ is what’s needed during this peak election time to deflect attention away from the fact that the average salary for an oil-rich country are disgraceful, the health care system is in a complete shambles, freedom of speech/assembly/anything is a farce…
An international spat with Britain is just what Putin’s doctor ordered for this laughable ‘election.. Everyone hates us, only Putin can stand up for our rights…it’s the 18-year-old canard that Putin can still trot out that provides a modicum of interest, and therefore at least a thin veneer of legitimacy to his reappointment as president.
Don’t be naive. Or wallow in willful ignorance.

      • Ironically exactly the same analysis might be applied to Theresa May’s government here in Britain which also needs a foreign enemy to distract people from its internal problems

  5. Deeply unpleasant as he is, he hasn’t yet caused the death of 1 million plus people in Iraq and the wider Middle East, creating a seething hatred of the West, innocent slaughter, mass displacement and migration, support for despotic regimes with appalling human rights records, civil war, famine, islamophobia, and much much more. For that we look no further than our former PM and “ peace envoy” mr Tony Blair…or what about David Cameron and his appalling destruction of Libya, now a welcome home to the black flag of ISIS…both Iraq and Libya based on a pack of lies, with the full blooded support of our stenographer presstitute media and the usual suspect talking head establishment goons….a compass always knows which way is North, right? Does any of that seem familiar in the context of the current Putin Must Die warcry?

    • He may have not reached 1 million dead yet, but he certainly has been active player in Middle East. Russia is actively supporting Syrian Government. They, and they alone, are responsable for the humanitarian disaster currently playing in Eastern Ghouta.

Also, estimates on dead toll from Second Chechen War range from 100 000 to 250 000.

And, there really isn’t much question that at least Apartment Building bombings that killed nearly 300 and started Putin’s ascend to power were false flag operations aimed on Russian public on Russian soil.

    • Also, personal story that’s connected: Northern European markets were literally inondulated with very high grade, Afgan heroine in 1999-2000. At my smallish University Town, this caused a peak in ODs. There were 26 death from heroine OD, including my friend’s brother one year. When The Afgan War started, these dropped to none. There are testimonials telling this happened because Russian Authorities practically opened the boarders in exchange of a cut in the business. So, they were very knowningly helping to fund Talebans.

  6. If the charts are similar, will Putin eventually face a similar ending – death on the battlefield, then buried underneath an asphalt parking lot?

    • Improbable as it may seem, I had almost exactly the same thought on the comparison between Putin and Richard III – would it be a case of short-lived political success (resulting in the death of others), infamous death, stuff of legends and plays for centuries hereafter and eventual rehabilitation after being found under the 25th century’s equivalent of a carpark?

    • Larry, it might entertain you to know that according to a few YouTube tarot readers and psychics that Putin’s death will be in a plane crash, a few years from now… and it won’t be an accident.

      • I’m not usually entertained from someone’s death – “just rewards” would put it better. Will the crasb be on Aeroflot or…United?

Was going to insert the United jingle but I am only now taking 1st coffee…

      • Gemma – a former friend had done a card reading on Trump shortly after his election. “His downfall will come from an unexpected direction, most likely a family member.”

“Hold your friends close but hold family closer”, I think goes the old Italian/Sicilian warning.

        • Yep, Trump is definitely on his way out and will not complete his term. I think the family member involved is his Don Jr. Sorry to hear about your cousin’s behaviour, that is genuinely sad. I wonder if it is Trump himself she adores or is she one of the supporters just blindly believing his promises and offers of a pathway forward for them. Either way, she will have to face reality sooner or later as Trump will never come through for her.
