  1. US womens’ soccer team – sore losers after Sweden win. “”(I think) we played a bunch of cowards,” Hope Solo told reporters after the match.” The 35-year-old was booed by sections of the crowd during the quarterfinal for this gesture, and her post-match comments were met with equal disdain by Sweden’s former US coach Pia Sundhage.

Commercialism of the Olympics rears its ugly head. No more sponsorship income ;-( Life can sure be tough when you lose in the Olympics.

How you accept losing is more important than how you win.

  2. Hi Marjorie,

Could you take a look at the chart of Gary Johnson, the third party Liberterian candidate in the US Presidential race? He is polling in the 8-9% range. If he comes close to 15% before the debates begin he will be allowed to participate in the debates, which of course will give him greater exposure and add a different dynamic to the debates. Considering the bizarre nature of the race so far, you never know if a third party candidate could gain serious traction given that so many find both the republican and democratic choices unpalatable.

Gary Johnson’s birth info is January 1, 1953, (birth time unknown), born in Minot, North Dakota.

    Thanks in advance, Marie

  3. Richard, I’m afraid you can’t blame all the recent ghastliness on Mars retrograde, though it certainly wouldn’t help. It was more down to Neptune square Saturn which won’t disappear until early December. Though perhaps Mars going direct will give us all more courage to cope with the swamp.
