Zodiac Mood of the MonthAugust always has the fiery Leo Sun in place till the 23rd guaranteeing a more sociable, flamboyant feel to the mood. This year there's a high-octane boost on the 3rd and 4th from a super-charged Jupiter in Aries opposition Mars in Libra square Pluto. The better end of this is excitement, adventure, high confidence, a really go-for-it attitude. But the more difficult side can be a might-makes-right pushiness which could end in tears. So it's important to be cautious both about your own behaviour but also to watch out for others' tendency to take control.
Venus then flits out of understated Virgo into its own sign Libra for a tactful, elegant, indulgent few weeks from the 7th. Venus wants close relationships to be harmonious though it'll have its work cut out until the 10th since it promptly runs into a jangled opposition to Uranus, a downbeat conjunction to Saturn and a possessive square to Pluto. But thereafter it'll smooth out.
Uranus reverses for the final time back into Pisces to stay until early March 2011. It moved briefly into Aries in late May and returns there for its seven year stay from early 2011. But for now it is back into Watery Pisces which is an odd mix. It can bring inventiveness and insight into creativity, spiritual matters and psychology. But it can also bring muddles, delusions and a disinclination to face unpleasant truths.
On the 16th there's a see-saw Jupiter opposition Saturn so you may feel as if you are shrinking and expanding all at the same time. Pessimism will be around as well as optimism. Cautious expansion should be your motto though it'll be difficult to achieve.
The 20th has the lack lustre, confused Sun opposition Neptune with a passionately enthusiastic Venus Mars in Libra at the same time so a day of highs and lows. With the formidably stuck Saturn square Pluto on the 20th which suggests the hard times are not quite over. Luckily the Sun moves into practical, earthy Virgo on the 23rd for four weeks which will avoid some of the difficult configurations up in the heavens so should be marginally more free flowing.

Zodiac Mood of the Month
The warm-hearted, though occasionally critical Virgo Sun rolls its earthy way along until the 23rd. Venus spreads its social charm around in Libra till the 8th when it moves into intensely emotional, seductive Scorpio for the remainder of the month. Jupiter reverses back into Pisces on the 9th to stay till late January 2011 bringing a lift to the Virgo Sun after mid month. Mars joins Venus in determined Scorpio from mid month so secrecy will be the order of the day with huge effort being put into cash schemes and evening scores.
The highlight of the month comes around the 19th to 21st with a lucky-break Jupiter Uranus and then the Virgo Sun opposing Uranus Jupiter. Bright ideas may not all be workable, but there'll be a general feeling of relief with good luck around and new opportunities.
Then the dreary Saturn Pluto square gets in the way of the Libra Sun in the final week, putting a damper on new initiatives. It will require perseverance, persistence and toughness of mind.
